I am a licensed therapist who specializes in working with children, adolescents and young adults. I strive to create a friendly, non-judgmental, therapeutic environment where my clients may navigate towards their goals and thrive. I utilize a person-centered approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and other strategies to help my clients manage stress, anxiety, moods, self-esteem, life transitions and other mental health difficulties that are impairing one’s ability to thrive. I have extensive experience working with clients struggling with anxiety. I am passionate about forming a therapeutic alliance with my clients to assist them in navigating their therapeutic goals and overcome the obstacles they experience. The first step in your journey to healing is recognizing that you need help. It takes great courage and strength to seek help and I will provide a supportive environment for you to feel comfortable while starting your journey to a healthier mental health.
During our first session, I will assess your needs, therapeutic goals and identify your challenges in a supportive therapeutic environment. This is a conversation where I will be establishing rapport and ensuring I understand your needs and goals.
I meet clients where they are and provide supportive therapeutic alliance free of judgment.
I work best with clients that are motivated for treatment and is an active participant in the therapeutic process. I enjoy supporting clients that are in need of guidance and direction to achieve their goals. I enjoy supporting clients who struggle with balance causing anxiety by assisting them in navigating their current thought patterns and teaching them alternative solutions to reframing their thoughts.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I work with clients to learn self awareness, reframe negative thought patterns and reflect on behavior responses. Mindfulness is also incorporated to focus on the present and reduce anxiety producing thoughts.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness is incorporated to focus on the present and reduce anxiety producing thoughts. Mindfulness is also utilized to increase impulse control.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Focuses on problem solving and addressing situations that cause immediate emotional distress.
Strength-Based
Utilizes strength based approach with all clients by exploring existing strengths and anchor on them to address current mental health challenges.
Psychoeducation
I incorporate psychoeducation in all sessions for client to gain further insight and knowledge on their mental health challenges.
