New to Grow
Hello, I'm Devan! I have been working in the mental health field for over ten years now. I started my journey by working in direct care for at-risk youth and adults with autism. Since getting my degree and license, I have been working on developing my skills as a therapist. I believe that we all continue to grow and change throughout our lives, and at times, we all need someone to help us through these changes.
It will be casual, but we will dive into what you are struggling with. During the first session, we will be looking at what is most important in your life. Working together, we will develop goals that are in line with your values.
I believe that flexibility is my biggest strength and will be able to pivot when you need to. As an ACT therapist, I will help you develop psychological flexibility so you can live a life you find meaningful. Practically speaking our focus in session will be on developing skills to take action in areas that you value.
I specialize in 3 main areas: ADHD, Trauma, and Eating Disorders. Outside of those three areas, I have experience with Anxiety, Depression, Stress Management, Family issues, Grief or loss, Men's issues, Relationship issues, Identity issues, PTSD, and many more. I have experience working with people across the life span, with my youngest client being 5 years old and my oldest being 93 years old.
I identify as
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT focuses on developing skills to take action in areas that you value and developing psychological flexibility so you can live a life you find meaningful.
