Let me assist you in your journey towards a healthier, happier, and more serene you. I see individuals as well as couples. My main specialties of counseling include: anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ concerns, relationship issues, self-esteem, meaning and purpose seeking, first responders and their families, postpartum issues, grief, trauma, stress management, substance use, anger management, parenting concerns, peer relationships, and much more. I utilize a variety of techniques and methods to aid the client in discovering the path that allows them to feel more positive growth and change in their lives. Hi, my name is Vijaya Siddalingappa also known as VJ. I am a licensed clinical psychologist PhD, and currently practice in Florida. I have been in the mental health field for 25 years. I speak 2 additional languages( Hindi and Kannada) and I am currently offering telehealth appointments. I am very happy to be a part of the Grow community! I have a holistic approach with a non judgmental stance as I believe each individual is unique. So I tailor interventions to client's needs and not use "one size fits all" approach. I have an unconditional approach and appreciate diversity in each person accentuating their strengths. I use passive approach (providing space for venting their feelings) and an active approach by teaching cognitive behavioral skills which clients can easily learn and use these skills when needed. I like to cook, exercise, watch football and volunteer at community events for the less fortunate. I maintain a healthy balance with work, recreation and self- care. I work hard and play hard! My experience includes working with adults, geriatrics, children and women in outpatient and inpatient settings. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT); Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT); Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT); and Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT). I am also passionate about individual differences and multicultural studies. My expertise is working with addictions (dual diagnosis), trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar, Obsessive compulsive disorders, schizophrenia, domestic violence and sexual abuse, stress management, loss and grief, and adjustment disorders. We never arrive! I learn something new and grow every day. Look forward to working with you!

Hey there ! I completed graduate course work in Human Development and Psychology at Harvard University, focusing primarily on challenges faced by the LGBTQ community, in relationships and in society as a whole. I have a Masters Degree in Mental Health from Cambridge College in Cambridge Massachusetts. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Master Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) in the State of Florida, practicing as a psychotherapist for over 15 years. While I have been trained in many different styles and “theories,” my helping approach is fairly straight forward and draws on many different traditions: In my view, there is no doubt that what we have experienced in the past shapes who we are and how we see ourselves, others and the world. Therapy is a process of connecting the dots between where we have been and how those experiences influence our thinking and behavior today. Often, our past experiences have us thinking and acting in ways that are irrational and self-defeating, causing problems in all areas of our lives. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and unconditionally supportive space for folks to share who they are and what they have been through. I partner with them in taking what we might call a “therapeutic microscope” to the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that accompany the circumstances of their lives, supporting them in reinforcing what works and finding alternatives to what does not.

My name is John A. Llauget. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Counseling from University of South Florida. My career in mental health in 1977 working in a psychiatric hospital; and later as a outpatient therapist in a community mental health center working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I was licensed in Florida in 1986 as a Mental Health Counselor and have maintained my license since that date. Also I have worked as an employee assistance counselor, school counselor, associate professor at an international university, and court evaluator for guardianship cases. For 20 years I worked as a cancer counselor with oncology clients helping them cope with illness, stress, and emotional distress. Additionally I have maintained a practice and interest in Traditional Okinawan Uechi-Ryu, earning a Masters rank in that system of training. I have used martial training with children & adolescents to develop self-control and self esteem. Later when I began working with an elderly population and clients dealing with physical limitations, I taught Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation as a way to improve their health, well-being, and cope with stress. My therapeutic style centers around getting to know a client, develop trust, and talking more explicitly about issues before making any recommendations. I am a strong advocate of evidence-based treatments and teaching ‘tools’ to cope with stress and emotional difficulties. I have gained training in trauma treatment because we now know that it is prevalent in our life experiences. I value compassion, persistence, and patience in working towards change. I look forward to working with you. I also value your time and want to use it productively in assisting you to reach your therapeutic goals.

Hello, I’m A.J., a Licensed Master Level Social Worker from the U.P. of Michigan. Faith, Family, and Fellowship are things that I strive to live for daily. My faith is very important to me. I am involved in Men’s Ministry inside and outside of my church. Haggai 2:9 is a verse that is close to my family's heart: “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house, says the Lord Almighty, in this place I will grant peace, declares the Lord Almighty.” My goal and prayer is that I can help individuals move into a better place than they were when therapy first began. My wife and I have three boys and one grandson. Our family enjoys spending time outside on our 20-acre property “Creation Acres” or getting away camping. My boys and I enjoy spending time in the woods or on the lake. I graduated from Ferris State University in 2018 with my Master’s Degree in Social Work after attending Lake Superior State University completing Criminal Justice / Public Safety Emphasis Bachelor’s Degree and a Paramedic Technology Associate’s Degree in 2008. I have experience working directly with law enforcement as a dispatcher and working in the public safety field as a fire fighter and as an EMT. I currently work for the Michigan Department of Corrections as a mental health specialist. Prior to this career, I worked for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as a foster care case manager and a juvenile justice / juvenile delinquency case manager. I look forward to working with you during your journey. NOTICE – Due to my current position with the Michigan Department of Corrections, I am unable to accept referrals or work with anyone on parole or probation.

I came to clinical social work after many years of engagement in other fields, so I feel a connection with your efforts to find the right situation and therapist for yourself in this moment. I believe that we are innate experts of our experience, and also that an outside voice and companion can be critical during moments like you may find yourself in now. I believe that therapy is an opportunity to explore not just the areas that are hard for us, but also to expand into the areas that bring joy, light, support and growth.
