Hello! My name is Dr. Patrick Casthely and I'm a licensed psychotherapist located in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I'm available via remote sessions. I graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Nova Southeastern University with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling. I also have a PhD specializing in Metaphysical Counseling. I'm triple board-certified, and well versed in Mental Health and Substance Abuse.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I accept all clients regardless of gender, sexuality, race, culture, spirituality, or religion. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background or beliefs. I am also committed to confidentiality.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in Multicultural therapy, and I am non-judgmental and non-biased. I believe that everyone has their own unique story to tell, and I am here to listen without judgment.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I provide services for teens and adults in need of individual, family, and couple's therapy. Majority of my clients are individuals who might have anxiety or depression from their work, school, family, or relationship. Some report feeling down, having low energy, not sleeping well, or not being interested in things they used to enjoy.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) is a type of therapy that focuses on helping people identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. In my experience I 've noticed it's a very effective treatment for a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

Multicultural

Multicultural therapy is important because cultural background can have a significant impact on how people experience and express mental distress.
