Hello there I'm Twaina, I approach psychotherapy from a person-centered, supportive role, where I utilize great active listening skills first. From there, I mentor, guide, and help my client by assisting in being a change agent, helping to change thoughts and perceptions that create those judgments in life, whether judging others, situations, or self. I meet the client where they are.
In our first session together, we'll start with a brief introduction, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My biggest strength is working with those that struggle with emotional distress, whether from a job, family, trauma, or themselves. Life can truly throw us curve balls and being able to manage life well is paramount to a person's success. Therefore, being able to assist people in managing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors appropriately in any given situation is what I am here for. Life is truly about the journey and never about the destination. Along the journey is where we get to smell the roses and the flowers, and also, to learn and unlearn before we reach that destination. I am the one to assist.
