I also use a variety of resources to help my clients. These include evidence-based types of therapy, worksheets and measurements. I also offer Christian counseling to those who are interested and am also happy to work with people of other spiritual beliefs. Hi my name is Amy, and I first want to acknowledge how difficult and scary it feels to begin the process of therapy, either for the first time or starting with a new therapist. I take very seriously the enormous strength that takes and I work very hard to ensure that you feel safe and heard as we begin the therapeutic relationship. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 15 years of experience providing counseling in both inpatient and outpatient centers. I received my Master’s degree in counseling in 2008, from Webster University. I had the privilege of working in an inpatient eating disorder facility for five years and have continued that work in outpatient settings. I have a passion for connecting with teenagers, college students and career women to build a safe place with an adult where they can voice their feelings and experiences without fear of judgement. I also especially enjoy working with young adult women as they navigate their way through the process of beginning adulthood. I have experience with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and general women’s issue. I am especially passionate about working with CPTSD and PTSD. I have received training and supervision in working with trauma as it is a highly specialized field. Trauma survivors need validation, belief, compassion and acceptance first and foremost before a trusting relationship can be established. I have working with women exiting a toxic relationship, having endured narcissistic abuse and/or infidelity (betrayal trauma) which is many times misunderstood by well-intentioned people. My approach is warm, compassionate and highly empathetic as I work to establish a safe environment for healing to take place.

Hi. Welcome to my page. I am Oswaldo Castro but prefer to be called Oz. I am licensed mental health therapist with a plethora of experience. I first start my journey working in neurofeedback which has allowed me to work with a diverse population from children to seniors with issues with ADHD, autism, sleep disorder, anxiety disorders, depressed mood and a plethora of other neurodivergent individuals for about 7 years. My journey continues to working at a drug rehab facility where I worked with individuals with substance use disorder for about 5 years. My life then continues to work at a survivor's center where I worked with victims of domestic violence, violent crimes and grief for about 2 years. I also gained experience with the LGBTQIA+ population where I worked closely and ran groups with individuals of the trans experience. Moving forward, I have worked with suicidal children and adolescents that have been under a Baker Act which has given me experience in with family systems for about 4 years.
