Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I received my Masters from Florida Gulf Coast University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I see all adults, but in particular I focus on folks that are dealing with life changes such as struggling with a new or changing diagnosis, reclaiming your identity, grief, or depression and anxiety. I want you to know that the time we spend together is for YOU, so it will be focused on what you want to talk about. Therapy can be hard work but I'd like to make it easier on you. Let's work together!
In our first session together we'll start with brief introductions and building rapport. We will dive into any challenges you're facing at a pace you are comfortable with. What I most hope you gain from our time together is the knowledge that you are not broken.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my mental flexibility and my open-mindedness. As much of my experience has been in hospitals and hospice care. I'm quite comfortable "hitting the ground running" so to speak.
I love working with adults trying to find themselves again. Ultimately my role in this is to help you recognize your strengths and identify new coping skills that are healthier and fit your life better.
Basically this means that I acknowledge none of us is exactly alike we also don't want exactly the same things in therapy. Being a person-centered therapist, I encourage you to be vocal about what exactly it is you are wanting to get out of therapy.
