Throughout my years of working in the mental health field, I gained experience in individual, family and couples counseling. I specialize in working with individuals and couples who have difficulty coping with everyday life situations. I have helped these individuals improve their everyday functioning and have helped couples work through some difficult times in their relationship. I have been a therapist in the for over 10 years and have taken an active role in my community. In addition to my counseling skills I have held a leadership role with a nonprofit organization for the past several years, overseeing the daily functions of a grant funded mental health program. It's not always easy to ask for help but it takes a string and courageous person to do so and you have taken the first step! I look forward to working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session together we will identify the areas in your life that you want to improve/work on. We will discuss some history such as family history or any traumas experienced so I can get a better understanding of challenges you are facing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I meet my clients where they are. There is no guide on how therapy should go. It is entirely up to my clients to decide where we take therapy. My clients often say they feel like they are talking to a firned when they are in session with me and that is how I want all my clients to feel.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My clients tend to struggle with relationships and making decisions on how to identify deal breakers and triggers for them in relationships. Together I work with my client to create a safe environment for them to communicate to their partners. My clients also tend to have difficulty navigating life transitions and making the decisions that are best for them. Together my clients and I explore the options that will give them the results that they are looking for. My clients leave my sessions feeling supported in any and every decision they make, never judged.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

xperienced in using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals develop psychological flexibility and live more meaningful lives. I guide clients in identifying their values, accepting difficult thoughts and emotions, and committing to actions that align with what truly matters to them. My approach blends mindfulness, behavioral change strategies, and compassion to support people in overcoming anxiety, depression, life transitions, and emotional challenges. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their inner experiences and build a richer, fuller life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past five years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
