Hi! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida, and I currently offer telehealth sessions to provide flexible and accessible support. With 5 years of experience, I specialize in working with adolescents and adults, guiding them through challenges such as trauma, anxiety, and depression. My approach is tailored to each individual's needs, focusing on helping clients not only overcome their struggles but also discover their strengths and achieve personal growth. Whether you're dealing with specific issues or seeking to become the best version of yourself, I'm here to support and empower you on your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help us collaborate on a plan for the next steps in your therapeutic journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strengths as a provider lie in my ability to create a safe and open environment where clients feel comfortable, even if they are typically nervous or closed off with other clinicians. Clients have told me that my approach in session helps them feel at ease and gives them permission to fully be themselves. I take a creative approach to therapy, tailoring strategies and techniques to meet the individual needs of each client. Additionally, I am committed to continual learning, regularly taking CEUs and expanding my knowledge and skills to better serve my clients

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize Person-Centered Therapy to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood. This approach is based on the belief that each person has the capacity for self-healing and personal growth. By offering empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine engagement, I help clients explore their true selves and develop a stronger sense of self-worth and autonomy.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my practice, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or feeling guilty for them. ACT empowers clients to accept what is out of their personal control and commit to action that improves and enriches their lives. By fostering psychological flexibility, ACT helps clients align their actions with their core values, leading to a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my sessions, I employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors. By working together to reframe unhelpful thoughts and develop healthier coping strategies, clients can achieve significant improvements in their emotional well-being. CBT is a practical and goal-oriented approach that empowers clients to take control of their mental health.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness and acceptance. This approach teaches clients to observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment, fostering a sense of calm and clarity. By integrating mindfulness practices into daily life, clients can reduce stress, enhance emotional regulation, and improve their overall quality of life.

EMDR

Through EMDR, I assist clients in processing and integrating traumatic memories that are causing emotional distress. This evidence-based therapy involves using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or bilateral sound) to help clients reprocess traumatic experiences in a way that reduces their emotional impact. EMDR can lead to rapid and effective resolution of trauma-related symptoms, promoting healing and resilience. EMDR has also been found to be an effective for addressing phobias and negative inner narratives.
