I have worked with adults, children and families for 30 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my degree from Barry University. In the past, I also worked with young children through to adolescents as an educator. My strengths are in helping my clients to identify the key issues affecting them and in developing a path toward addressing these matters. I find working as a psychotherapist very rewarding because I can help people in such a meaningful way.
I recommend clients consider the first session as an interview. I encourage clients to share what is bringing them here and provide some relevant background. As we talk, the client will determine if my style and perspectives fit his/her/their needs. Together we will determine a tentative therapeutic plan.
My greatest strengths as a provider are to provide a "mirror" to help my clients see their issues with clarity. I often find people are too enmeshed in their situations to actually see the bigger dynamics and I am able to help them step back and gain perspective. Another strength is providing clients with a clear action plan for shifting to healthier ways to cope with their situations. I am strong in identifying the emotional, social, and environmental issues my clients are coping with and helping them develop a path toward resolution.
I have worked with clients of all ages and assisted people in identifying coping skills that will work better for them as they deal with current stressors. My areas of expertise include working with individuals dealing with depression and anxiety, assisting those dealing with parenting and family issues, and supporting clients dealing with life transitions.

Ann has taken the time to really get to know me and helping me work through my grief from the loss of my mom who was my anchor, my best friend. This is two fold as I’ve been struggling with some issues in my marriage too. I know it will take time but I feel confident we’re moving in the right direction.
