If you often feel overwhelmed, confused, or frustrated with your life, you may be experiencing anxiety or depression. You may feel like you have little support, and you may be on edge and not know how to relax. If you've noticed these feelings and have tried ways to challenge them, therapy may help you find relief. Hello! My name is Mindy. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over 12 years of experience. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, social anxiety, people pleasing, assertiveness, perfectionism, relationship issues, and trauma. I also work with clients who are struggling with motivation, attention, and interpersonal problems. I'm here to help you with whatever you're facing. I am a neurodiversity-affirming therapist who specializes in working with neurodivergent clients 18 and older. I have a special interest in relationship and social difficulties, and how masking and rejection sensitivity impact mental health. I believe that every person is unique and has the right to be treated with individual care. What works for one person may not work for the next. I approach helping you with a fresh lens every time, getting to know you, and finding which therapeutic approach best suits your situation.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with a brief introduction of ourselves. Then we will dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work on in subsequent sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I believe that therapy is an opportunity for self-exploration, healing, empowerment, and personal growth. My approach is warm and encouraging, and my goal is to empower you to fill your toolbox with the things you need to reach your full potential. I use an individualized approach based on my client's needs, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as CBT, mindfulness, ACT, self-compassion, EMDR, social support, and DBT-informed.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I enjoy teaching new coping skills and helping clients end unhealthy patterns. I work to create an emotional climate of trust, safety, and privacy, which are critical components of therapy. I believe that respecting individual, family, cultural, and spiritual values are key parts of the counseling process. I seek to understand and respect each client's unique situation and values.
