Welcome! I provide individual therapy to adults dealing with a variety of challenges including: anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions/adjustment issues, complex trauma, and attachment issues. Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you have been in therapy before, it is important to choose a therapist that you feel connected to and has experience in treating the areas that align with your needs.
Therapy is an intimate experience, a collaboration between you and the therapist. I take that role seriously and understand that to do my best work, I need to understand each client holistically. Hello there, I'm Liz! I work with clients who are wanting to heal from past trauma experiences and get to the root causes of their struggles. Trauma changes the way you view yourself, others, and the world. My goal is to help you gain insight, build self-awareness, and foster personal growth. Some areas of focus I enjoy addressing with my clients include boundary building, negative core beliefs, strengthening internal validation, self-care, identifying trauma responses, addressing attachment wounds, aligning to your values, improving daily functioning, and developing healthy coping strategies.
I am trained in a variety of therapeutic models and techniques to help my clients including but not limited to Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. This process can deepen our insight into the impact of personal history on our current behavioral and emotional patterns, allowing us a greater sense of self and choice in our lives and relationships.
In the course of psychotherapy, we will create a space of non-judgmental curiosity, including space for creativity, playfulness, and humor.
I help my patients develop and strengthen their ability to manage anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges so that they can live a more meaningful, mindful, and enjoyable life.
I encourage my patients to work hard to grow and change, achieving the life they desire. I seek to develop a caring and supportive relationship with all my patients.
You are a unique human being. There is no "one size fits all" therapy. Let's talk and see if I am the right fit to help you reach the goals you want for yourself.

With over 18 years of dedicated service in counseling, I am committed to enhancing mental health and well-being in clients of all ages. My journey began when I was impacted by a compassionate school counselor during my younger years. Inspired by her positive influence, I embarked on this path to support others in their mental health journeys. Throughout my career, I have worked to address a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. I work with clients on anxiety management, depression support, assist in navigating grief, ADHD or other behavioral challenges, & help foster healthy relationships & family systems.
To others it may seem like you've got it all together, but on the inside you're spinning out of control. Panic randomly punches you in the chest, taking your breath away, and you can't focus on anything else other than how to make it stop. You are consumed by trying to keep up with everyone else since they seem to have it all together, but you can barely function through the day. You feel like an awful mom because you are lashing out on your kids and hating the daily monotony instead of "embracing the joy of motherhood." You feel like you are failing your partner because somewhere along this journey you just lost yourself.
You want to be a better mom to your kids. And remember why you fell in love with your partner. And stop the tornado of anxiety that knocks you out on the regular. You want to stop living by the expectations of others and rediscover who you truly are. It's time to win back some peace of mind and self-worth and attract the life you want.
I have the DBT and mindfulness skills, which uses both mind and body exercises that will help you manage the crippling anxiety, love yourself better, be a more present and joyful mom, improve your relationships, and attract the life you want.

Whatever might be challenging you and keeping you from living your best life, we can find solutions together, in therapy. Let's get started!
I'm passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges. Every day, we go through a series of small revolutions, realizations, adjustments, and changes that expand and contract within our beings. As a mental health practitioner, my goal is to create a safe and trusting environment where individuals can release, process, unpack, and unwind. Essentially, it's a space to breathe.
It's crucial to learn to show yourself kindness and compassion, even if you struggle with feeling deserving of it. Because you truly do deserve the best life has to offer! Today is the day to embrace it.

Do you seek guidance in your life at this time? Everyone has a story to tell and I'm here to listen to yours. We may not always be able to clearly see our options to manage stress, emotional pain and confusion, so beginning therapy is a great way to process these emotions and thoughts in a safe, caring and non-judgmental way. Perhaps your fears or worries about relationships, career, a sense of inadequacy or the need to be perfect are holding you back. Therapy helps to facilitate healing and growth. I welcome the opportunity to work with you to improve your sense of success and live your life to the fullest.
I've been working with teens and adults for 20 years specializing in: trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, family/relationship conflict, loss/grief, chronic illness and self esteem.
Hi,
I am Kamala, a FL and GA LMHC. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Jacksonville University in 2003 and my master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. I have worked as a mental health counselor for five years. However, I have been in the field of helping people for 18 years, starting as a case manager at a homeless shelter and later as a special education teacher. What can I can say? People are my niche.
Helping individuals get through life's difficulties is my purpose. The thing about it is, we may not be able to live 100% symptom-free, but we can live productive, fulfilling lives even with some discomfort. That may sound daunting, but I think it's realistic. Do you know why? Because even when we get through one thing, another thing is somewhere on the timeline waiting. I'm here to help you get through your "thing" now and prepare you for your "thing" later.
Hope to meet you soon.
Do you ever feel misunderstood, no one ever listens or cares about your life? Do you sometimes feel that you are trapped in a room without an exit? I will never exactly understand what it is like to be you, however I believe that significant progress can be made in even the toughest of life situations. Having someone that will listen and cares about your circumstances and strives to find a solution is imperative. I love to collaborate with my clients and develop a blueprint which can help them achieve their goals. Whatever your struggles, there's always a way out.
