Hello there! I'm Arzella a passionate mental health counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate the intricate landscape of their emotions and experiences. With 17 years of experience in the field, I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and ADHD, and fostering self-development journeys. My journey in mental health care has equipped me with the skills and insights to assist you in overcoming the challenges that anxiety, depression, and ADHD can pose. I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can collaboratively explore strategies to manage symptoms, develop coping mechanisms, and pave the way for positive change. I firmly believe that therapy is not just about addressing problems, but also about nurturing personal growth. Beyond alleviating symptoms, I'm dedicated to guiding you on a journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. Together, we'll work on building resilience, enhancing self-esteem, and fostering a deeper understanding of your unique strengths.
We will work together to establish your goals for therapy. Each session I aim to get you one step closer to your goals by creating a space for you to process any current issues as well as learn a new skill each time we meet. All of the sessions are client-directed, so mostly, the goal is to get you what you need each appointment while making progress on lowering your symptoms of distress and discomfort.
My belief is that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the process. You will be asked to discuss the hard times and difficulties you are facing. I think my strength is my ability to form that relationship while maintaining the balance and boundaries of the therapeutic alliance.
Arzella Hawthorne-Louidor offers therapy covered by UnitedHealthcare/Optum - Medicaid in Florida.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) serves as a foundation for my therapeutic interventions, emphasizing the interconnectedness between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through collaborative and goal-oriented sessions we will work together and identify and reframe negative thought patterns, develop and practice coping strategies, and cultivate healthier behaviors. By fostering self-awareness and empowering individuals to modify maladaptive cognitions, my aim is to facilitate lasting positive change and promote overall emotional well-being.
