New to Grow
I am a female therapist who enjoys working with both men, women. children and teenagers. I am very dedicated to my work. I worked with diverse populations early on, as I worked in the community settings with families that struggled with the challenges of being single parent households , addictions, abuse and behavioral problems. I also worked for over a year with cancer patients and learned their struggles and provided support and tools to manage their emotional turmoil. All these experiences taught me to have a better understanding for diverse cultures and people from all walks of life. Today I work in private practice and continue working with that passion and understanding with my clients.
In the first session the bounds of confidentiality are discussed and my aim is to better understand why the client is seeking services by asking interview questions to understand the clients struggles and needs more clearly so that together we can construct a treatment plan that is effective in meeting the client's goals.
My strengths are my education, experience and compassion for others . The feedback I have gotten over the years is that my approach has helped my clients feel empowered and capable of overcoming obstacles that have been in their paths for years. I feel that another one of my strengths is my ability to assist clients in using various tools to manage and overcome challenges and increase insight about their lives to make meaningful changes.
My therapeutic approach is tailored to each individual's unique needs and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-based techniques, Behavior Modification, Positive Psychology, and Radical Acceptance. techniques. I strive to provide a supportive, compassionate, and a collaborative environment that empowers clients to develop effective coping skills, increase self-awareness, build resilience, and improve their overall quality of life. I am committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges, heal from difficult experiences, and achieve meaningful personal growth and emotional well-being.
