New to Grow
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over three years of experience, I am passionate about helping teens and adults navigate life’s challenges while building resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, difficulties with boundary setting, grief and loss, life transitions, and challenges with motivation and self-confidence. My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s unique journey. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy to create a personalized treatment experience that meets each client’s needs and goals. I have particular expertise in working with trauma, abandonment wounds, codependency, communication challenges, forgiveness, guilt and shame, life purpose exploration, and cultivating self-love. I am especially passionate about supporting Black and Brown women as they navigate the intersection of personal growth, relationships, identity, and healing. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, gain deeper self-awareness, and develop practical tools for lasting change. My goal is to empower clients to strengthen their relationships, establish healthy boundaries, embrace their authentic selves, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
During our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can share your story at your own pace. My priority is getting to know you as a person—not just the challenges that brought you to therapy. We will discuss what led you to seek therapy, your current concerns, and any goals you hope to achieve. I may ask questions about your personal history, relationships, family dynamics, and past experiences to better understand your unique circumstances and how they may be impacting your present life. The first session is also an opportunity for us to determine whether we are a good fit for working together. I encourage you to ask questions about my therapeutic approach, the counseling process, and anything else that may help you feel comfortable and informed. My approach is collaborative, meaning we will work together to identify your strengths, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop a plan that supports your growth and healing. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, relationship challenges, grief, or life transitions, you can expect to be met with compassion, respect, and genuine support. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. Our first session is simply the start of a conversation and a step toward the change you are seeking.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. I bring empathy, authenticity, and compassion to every session while also providing honest feedback and practical tools that support growth and healing. I believe in meeting clients where they are and honoring their unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. My approach is collaborative and empowering, helping clients build self-awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain confidence in their ability to navigate life’s difficulties. I am particularly skilled at helping clients identify patterns rooted in past experiences, trauma, relationships, and self-beliefs that may be impacting their current well-being. At the same time, I focus on helping clients recognize their resilience, strengths, and capacity for change. Clients often appreciate my warm, nonjudgmental presence, as well as my ability to balance emotional support with meaningful insight and accountability. Whether we are exploring difficult emotions, processing past experiences, or working toward specific goals, I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe enough to be vulnerable and empowered enough to move forward. My goal is to help clients leave each session feeling supported, challenged in productive ways, and equipped with tools that foster lasting growth, self-compassion, and emotional wellness.
I work best with adolescents, young adults, professionals, and middle-aged individuals who are navigating life’s challenges and transitions while seeking greater clarity, confidence, and purpose. Many of my clients are struggling with anxiety, excessive worry, grief and loss, or the impact of past trauma. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain about their next steps, or disconnected from themselves and the life they want to create. I have a particular passion for supporting women, emerging adults, and young professionals as they work through life changes, build self-esteem, strengthen confidence, and reconnect with their personal strengths. My clients are often motivated for growth and healing, even if they aren’t sure where to begin. Together, we create a supportive space to process difficult experiences, develop healthy coping skills, increase self-awareness, and move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life aligned with their values and goals.
I identify as
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Rather than focusing on eliminating anxiety, grief, or painful feelings, ACT teaches us how to make space for these experiences without allowing them to control our lives. Through this approach, clients learn to become more aware of their thoughts and emotions, respond to them with greater flexibility, and reduce the struggle against experiences that cannot be changed. We focus on identifying what matters most to you—your values, goals, and sense of purpose—and taking meaningful actions that align with the life you want to live. Whether you are navigating grief, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, or challenges with self-esteem and confidence, ACT can help you move forward with greater resilience, self-compassion, and intention. My goal is to support you in building a rich and meaningful life, even in the presence of difficult emotions or circumstances.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is used to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Often, when we experience anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, stress, or life challenges, we can become stuck in patterns of thinking that contribute to emotional distress and make it difficult to move forward. Through CBT, I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge beliefs that may no longer serve them, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. Together, we explore how thoughts influence emotions and behaviors, while building practical coping skills that can be applied in everyday life. CBT is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that empowers clients to develop greater self-awareness, improve emotional regulation, increase confidence, and respond to life’s challenges more effectively. My goal is to help clients feel more equipped to manage difficult situations and create lasting positive change.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is used to help clients better understand, process, and respond to their emotions in a healthy way. Emotions provide valuable information about our needs, experiences, and relationships, but many people have learned to suppress, avoid, or feel overwhelmed by difficult emotions. Through EFT, I help clients explore the emotions that may be underlying anxiety, grief, trauma, self-doubt, and relationship challenges. Together, we work to identify emotional patterns, increase self-awareness, and develop a deeper understanding of how past experiences may be influencing present-day thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By creating a safe and supportive environment, clients can learn to experience their emotions with greater self-compassion, heal emotional wounds, and build stronger connections with themselves and others. This process often leads to increased confidence, emotional resilience, and a greater sense of authenticity and fulfillment.
Grief Therapy
I provide grief counseling to support individuals who are navigating the emotional, physical, and life-changing impact of loss. Grief can arise from the death of a loved one, but it can also stem from relationship changes, divorce, career transitions, health challenges, unmet expectations, or other significant life losses. I believe there is no “right” way to grieve and no timeline for healing. My role is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where clients can process their emotions, honor their experiences, and make sense of their loss at their own pace. Through grief therapy, I help clients explore feelings such as sadness, anger, guilt, anxiety, confusion, and loneliness while developing healthy coping strategies and emotional resilience. Together, we work toward finding ways to stay connected to what matters most, rediscover meaning and purpose, and move forward while honoring the significance of their loss.
