Over the years my professional experiences include a lengthy career in sales; working in the Long-Term Care Industry as an Admissions and Marketing Director as well as a Director of Social Services; community involvement as a HIV/AIDS Intervention Specialist; and the privilege of serving 10 years as a Licensed Pastor. I became a husband, a father, and now a grandfather. Many come to therapy for social anxiety because of childhood trauma and how it has manifested in their adult lives. Often this manifests in feelings of poor self-confidence, poor self-worth, and poor self-confidence. At its root, the fundamental belief of those who have social anxiety is the belief, “I am not enough.” Clients get into the habit of comparing themselves to others and it makes them feel inadequate and insecure. Hi, I'm David Hobbs. I’ve been practicing as a licensed psychologist for more than 25 years, primarily utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy as an effective tool to treat anxiety and depression. As these can be emotionally debilitating conditions, addressing these issues can improve one’s sense of well-being, and thus their lives in general, dramatically. For the past 5 years, I have incorporated spirituality into my treatment regimen, thus addressing that aspect of one's personality in relation to their overall psychological well-being.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I received my Masters from Florida Gulf Coast University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I see all adults, but in particular I focus on folks that are dealing with life changes such as struggling with a new or changing diagnosis, reclaiming your identity, grief, or depression and anxiety. My background is in teaching yoga and meditation, both of which I incorporate in sessions.
