Hi! I am Angela. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 25 years. I am passionate about helping my clients overcome their perceived challenges and find their inner strength. I help my clients find confidence, joy, and improved connections with others. I grew up overseas and have lived around the world, giving me the opportunity to learn about other cultures and beliefs. This global experience has given me compassion and a greater understanding of situations beyond my own.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my main goal is to help you feel comfortable and to get to know you better. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you would like to work on, and what you hope to get out of our time together. I will also share a bit about how I work, answer any questions you have, and go over things like confidentiality and session structure. The first session isn't about diving into deep and fixing everything on the first session . It is about building a foundation of trust and understanding. By the end of the our first session, we will have a clearer picture of your goals and plans for how we can move forward together at a pace that feels right for you.

I bring warmth, honesty, and a down -to-earth style that helps clients feel safe opening up and making real progress. I have had 25 years of working with clients from all walks of life and have been honored to walk beside them in their journey.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) to help people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. Sometimes the way we think about things can make us feel stuck, anxious, or discouraged. CBT helps us look at those thoughts more clearly and find new, more helpful ways to respond. I will guide you through simple, practical tools you can use in everyday life, like how to calm racing thoughts, handle difficult emotions, and make choices that support your goals. CBT is a hands-on approach, focused on progress and problem-solving. My goal is to help you build confidence, find relief, and feel more control of your life- one step at a time.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients learn practical skills for managing emotions, handling stress, and improving relationships. DBT focuses on finding balance between accepting yourself as you are while making positive changes. Together, we will develop tools for mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthy communication, enabling you to feel more confident and in control of your life.
