LCSW, 4 years of experience
I pride myself in being a generalist. This means I have a lot of tools I can use to help you work towards your goals. It might be someone to process through tough situations with or getting deep into trauma treatments using EMDR, whatever you need, I am here to help. Its OK to have bad days, I am here to sort through them. Let's see if we can work out a plan that helps you to grow and be the amazing person we both know you are!
In our first session together, we’ll take some time to get to know each other. I’ll ask about your background, what’s been bothering you lately, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once—this is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we’ll begin to create a treatment plan that’s tailored to your needs and goals, whether you're looking for support, clarity, healing, or change. Just as important, we’ll focus on building a trusting, comfortable relationship—because feeling safe and supported is the foundation for meaningful work in therapy.
I bring warmth, empathy, and a good sense of humor to the therapy space—because healing doesn’t always have to be heavy all the time. I’m deeply committed to helping you feel heard and supported, and I’m not afraid to bring a little sarcasm or lightness into our sessions when it fits. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable being themselves with me, which is exactly what I want. Therapy with me is a mix of real talk, compassion, and collaboration—we’ll work together to make meaningful progress while also finding moments to laugh along the way.
My ideal client is someone who really wants to focus on feeling better and understands that the hard work really happens between meetings!
CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is a way of looking at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all influence each other. In our sessions, we’ll pay attention to some of the automatic thoughts that pop up—especially the ones that might be making you feel stuck or overwhelmed. The idea isn’t to just ‘think positive,’ but to get curious about whether those thoughts are really true or helpful. Once we understand the patterns, we can start working together to shift them—little by little—so you can feel more in control and less weighed down. We’ll also look at what you’re doing day to day and find small, doable changes that can make a big difference in how you feel. It’s a very practical, hands-on kind of therapy, and we’ll move at your pace.
EMDR is a therapy that helps people heal from difficult or overwhelming experiences that may still be affecting them—sometimes in ways they don’t even realize. You don’t have to talk about every detail of what happened. Instead, we focus on a memory or feeling that’s still bothering you, and then we use something called bilateral stimulation—like eye movements, tapping, or sound—to help your brain reprocess that memory. It’s kind of like your brain didn’t get a chance to fully ‘digest’ the experience when it happened, and EMDR helps it finish that process. Over time, those memories usually feel less intense and don’t bring up the same emotional reaction. The goal isn’t to erase the memory, but to help you feel more settled and less triggered by it.
Supportive therapy is really about giving you a safe, steady space to talk through what you’re going through, without judgment. It’s less about digging into the past or analyzing everything, and more about helping you feel understood, grounded, and supported right now. We focus on your strengths, help you cope with stress or difficult emotions, and work together to build confidence and resilience. Sometimes that means talking through decisions or challenges, other times it’s just having a space where you don’t have to carry everything alone. My role is to be in your corner, helping you feel more stable and supported as you move through whatever you’re facing
