Hi there! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida. I received my Master of Social Work from at the University of Central Florida. I'm a Florida native, where I've raised my children as a single mom and business owner. I have learned to roll with the punches and enjoy helping others not only survive, but thrive in adversity.
Our first session will begin with introductions, including a brief review of your history. You will share your reasons for seeking therapy and we will collaborate on a plan to reach your treatment goals.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have been using this method for several years with fantastic results. I combine positive psychology with DBT skills training to reinforce the change in mindset we are working to achieve. I will provide education and opportunity to practice interpersonal skills, mindfulness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. My clients are provided with homework if appropriate and willing, to solidify the skills learned.
EMDR
I work together with my client in utilizing EMDR to facilitate deep trauma work, processing repressed emotions interfering with daily functioning. This can be an intense experience for the client, so I will first take a comprehensive history and assess for readiness for the modality. Once we have established trust, we will build calming skills for you to feel safe throughout the process. I am here to walk with you through your processing experience, achieving a comfortable pace for you.
Motivational Interviewing
I use motivational interviewing as a collaborative client-centered approach to help you resolve any ambivalence you may have about making changes in your life. My goal is to support you in discovering your own reasons for change and help you build confidence in your ability to move forward.
