I am a licensed mental health counselor based in Florida. I have been in the mental health field for over 14 years, and I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to my work. I employ a collaborative approach that is infused with compassion and, when appropriate, a sprinkling of humor. I believe that therapy is a journey, and I am committed to walking alongside my clients as they work toward their goals. I do have a 15-minute expectation for session arrival. Once 15 minutes has passed and a client has not showed up or messaged me, the appointment is canceled and a no-show fee is charged.

Our life path is full of ups and downs with unexpected twists and turns. We learn to develop a way of coping whether it is a positive or negative method to help deal with stressors or adapt to change. However, the majority of the time, we fall back on what we are accustomed to when dealing with a stressful situation or unexpected change; such as becoming confused, frustrated, emotional, withdrawing, angry, combative, or ignoring the situation and hoping the situation will just magically disappear or be resolved. Sometimes we need assistance to develop positive coping skills to deal with an unexpected changes or stressful situations. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to overcome numerous challenges. Besides treating many mental health conditions, I have specialized training in treating anxiety, career, conflict, depression, grief, self-esteem, anger management, behavior issues, stress, trauma, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorder. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focus Brief Therapy, and Strength-based therapy.
