Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, having received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have been working in the field of mental health for the past three years, serving diverse populations of various ages. I aim to help individuals discover their personal strengths to develop resiliency skills and become the best version of their authentic selves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will begin to build a professional relationship that will be the backbone of the therapy process. Introductions will be made, and then you will have the opportunity to share your story to determine what will be the main focus of our time together. The counseling process will be explained, your counseling expectations shared, and a plan of action will be created. The first session, as well as all our sessions, will be a collaborative process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with numerous individuals, with various issues that prevent them from being the best version of themselves, I am experienced in helping people achieve a better understanding of themselves, complete their personal goals, and have their wants and needs met in healthy, productive ways.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with those that have decided to address past traumas and discover how they can move emotionally forward towards a promising future. I help clients to understand that past trauma may be the root cause of many of the undesirable symptoms they are currently experiencing, such as anxiety or depression.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to change ineffective thought patterns in order to positively influence emotions and behaviors. As our thoughts are connect to our behaviors and emotions, a change in the cognitive domain can bring positive change in the other domains.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy focuses on the person as an individual. The therapeutic relationship developed in session will provide a supportive environment for the client to focus on self-directed growth.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Therapy is ideal to bring client focus towards solutions rather than problems. Client strengths will be examined and solutions created based on those identified personal strengths.

Trauma Informed Care

Approaching therapy from a trauma informed care perspective allows healing to begin by acknowledging the impact that trauma may have on an individual. Sensitivity will be displayed as the client and therapist delve into past traumas to rebuild future experiences.

Multicultural

Approaching therapy from a multicultural lens allows for the integration of a client's diversity into the therapeutic process, acknowledging the unique experiences of every individual. Client diversity, life experiences, and cultural context will greatly influence ones thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
