In my 25 years+ of experience, I have practiced in a variety of settings, including community mental health centers who served adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness, mood disorders and identity questions, as well as with teens and children struggling with peer relationships, academic pressures, depression, self esteem and family issues. I have extensive knowledge and experience with justice involved persons, including those with challenges of addiction, anger control and mental health diagnosis.

I received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2007 from the University of South Florida, and went on to receive my Master's degree in Social Work from USF in 2010. During that time I worked full time and interned working with clients that had experienced traumatic events - mostly sexual assault or abuse. Before starting my private practice, I worked as a school social worker with students ages 3-22 for 12 years, gaining my licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, becoming a qualified LCSW supervisor.

Hello!! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned my Master's Degree from the University of Southern California in Clinical Social Work with a sub-concentration in Military Social Work. I currently hold a certification as a Sex Therapy Informed Professional working towards full certification as a Sex Therapist for individuals and couples. I also specialize in working with clients of all ages who suffer from complex trauma and PTSD.

Dr. Princeton Smith is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Florida and Founder of True Purpose Behavioral Health Services, PLLC. Dr. Smith has a strong background in evidence-based psychotherapies (EBPs) for PTSD and trauma, including Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. He also has experience in many Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions to address conditions such as depression, insomnia, substance use, and chronic pain management. Dr. Smith’s approach to therapy is very goal-oriented and patient-centered.
