New to Grow
I have faithfully dedicated over 4 years of experience in the field of mental health therapy. My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and adjustment difficulties. I also have specialized training in crisis intervention and Mental Health First Aid to support you in urgent times of need. I'm here to help you today with any applicable emotional and behavioral concerns you may have. I utilize a somewhat gentle and casual approach to help client's feel at ease during hardship and vulnerable moments. Collaboratively, let's help you become your best self.
Clients can expect a supportive and structured conversation focused on understanding their current concerns and needs. We will review presenting symptoms, relevant personal and mental health history, as well as existing strengths and coping strategies. The first session is also an opportunity to ask questions, share expectations, and begin establishing a comfortable and trusting foundation for our work together.
I bring a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental presence to the therapeutic space, helping clients feel safe, heard, and understood.
My ideal clients are open-minded, reflective, and willing to engage in the therapeutic process, even when it feels uncomfortable at times. They are collaborative and see therapy as a partnership, where we work together to understand patterns, build coping skills, and create healthier ways of thinking and responding. Clients who tend to thrive in this work are those who are ready to take an active role in their growth, are willing to practice strategies between sessions, and are curious about themselves and their experiences. They do not need to have everything figured out, but a willingness to show up, be honest, and stay engaged in the process of change.
