I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been licensed since 1996. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, attachment related issues, and a wide variety of trauma related situations, particularly with military personnel and first responders. I also have extensive post graduate training in areas related to neuropsychology, adoption, custody, child abuse, and forensics. I am qualified as an expert in these areas in several court jurisdictions in Florida and have worked internationally as well (Japan and Europe) in context with the military and internationals from Japan, Italy, and England. My doctoral research areas were Case Conceptualization and Attachment/Adult Psychopathology and I have served as an adjunct professor in clinical mental health
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I consider our therapeutic relationship as one as "an exchange of ideas". My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, psychodynamic and developmental based counseling. I am well trained in other modalities as well.
I understand that it takes courage to seek help, and it's not easy to face fear. I do not believe that "you are your diagnosis". Rather, I will view you "as a a unique individual facing some challenges". My background and training is unique, and I think you will find that I see things very differently than most clinicians.
I look forward to working with you!

About me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with 26 years of professional experience, as well as a Qualified Supervisor for new interns.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, and East Brunswick, NJ, until age 23, I moved to Pembroke Pines, Jupiter, and now reside in Sarasota, FL.
I have personally conquered Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Major Depression, Anxiety, OCD, CPTSD, Addictions of Gambling, Sex, Cars, and Weed, Codependency, Divorce, Custody, and Parenting Issues.
I have the ability to mend relationships, as I have brought my relationship with my wife from shambles to diamonds, and our "ship" is still moving North in the direction we both want, despite our differences and disagreements along the way. There is no more all-or-nothing thinking or engagement in back-and-forth arguments or break-ups; instead, there is peace, love, cooling off, and acceptance of our different attachment styles, love languages, personalities, and brain designs.
I am 6 years and 9 months sober from marijuana (December 30, 2019), and sober from the addictions of gambling, sex, and buying expensive cars beyond my means.
I firmly believe we learn something new or reinforce a life lesson every day.
Personal and Professional Growth equates to extra Health, Happiness, and Longevity.
I have 9-year-old fraternal twin boys, 2 stepchildren, ages 25 and 26, two cats and two dogs, a wife, and a mother-in-law.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Mind-Body-Soul Coach, I work with seasoned therapy clients who are ready to take their therapy to the next level and dive deeper. My approach moves beyond the surface of traditional talk therapy to integrate holistic health for the Mind, Body, Spirit, and Soul. With specialized certifications in Spiritually Integrated Therapy and Integrative Mental Health, I bridge the gap between clinical expertise and holistic wisdom. Whether we are incorporating your unique spiritual beliefs or exploring natural alternatives for emotional well-being, our work is tailored to your specific path. Because stress often lives in the body, I utilize my Somatic training as a Certified Vagal Toning Practitioner to help you move out of "fight or flight" and release stored emotions and trauma. I will teach you practical tools to balance your nervous system through strengthening the Vagus Nerve, allowing you to build genuine resilience to trauma and daily stressors. Through this deep work, we will identify past patterns that no longer serve you, and we will alchemize your pain into power. Hello! I am John Getchell, an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. My career has taken me from federal prisons, to military hospitals, the VA, and private practice, where I have worked with trauma, depression, grief, OCD, and very complex family dynamics. My goal is to walk alongside you as we face life's challenges, helping you to find clarity, strength, and healthier ways of living. Together, we will work on creating real change so you can experience peace and freedom.
Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, stress, grief, or unexpected changes leave you unsure of what comes next. Maybe you’re overthinking, feeling emotionally drained, coping with the loss of someone you love, or simply feeling unlike yourself.
Hi, I’m Orly Krupkin. I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, grief and loss, relationship concerns, caregiving, and life transitions. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe to be yourself, speak openly, and feel genuinely heard. My approach is warm, compassionate, and person-centered, while incorporating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness.
Over the years, I’ve supported people in community, hospitals, and private practice, as well as specialized experience supporting hospice clients and their loved ones. This work has given me a deeper understanding of grief , loss, and emotional challenges that can come with significant changes in life, and what I’ve learned is that meaningful change starts when you feel truly heard.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can begin where you are and take things one step at a time, creating space for greater clarity, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who supports adults navigating anxiety, burnout, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and action-oriented. I help people move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to feeling more grounded, connected, and purposeful. In our work together, you’ll build practical tools, explore unhelpful patterns, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself so you can make choices that align with the life you want to create.
My goal is to offer a space where you can be honest about what you’re going through without fear of judgment. I believe therapy works best when it helps you feel more like yourself- clearer, calmer, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we’ll focus on interrupting old patterns and building new skills that help you move forward with confidence.
