In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, we will begin by getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. This is an opportunity for you to share your concerns, experiences, and goals at a pace that feels comfortable. I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings, gain greater clarity, and begin identifying meaningful goals for our work together. We will also talk about what you hope to achieve in therapy and outline a collaborative plan tailored to your unique needs.

In my approach, I focus on each individual’s strengths to foster a healthy outlook and overall well-being. Through empowerment, I help clients recognize and build upon their unique talents, gifts, and skills as we explore how to apply these strengths more effectively throughout their life experiences. I have successfully worked with individuals facing family issues and caregiver challenges, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, anxiety, stress, depression, ADHD, codependency, commitment issues, communication difficulties, control issues, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dependent Personality Disorder, and other personality and mood disorders.

Person-centered (Rogerian)
Person Centered therapy, is a humanistic approach to psychotherapy. It focuses on creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their own experiences and gain self-understanding.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is evidence-based and helps individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress or unhelpful behaviors. By changing the way we think, we can transform how we feel and act, empowering my clients to break free from cycles of anxiety, depression, or self-doubt.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing, on the other hand, helps individuals find their own motivation for change. It’s particularly effective when clients are ambivalent or unsure about making a change. Through open-ended questions, empathetic listening, and collaborative conversation, MI allows clients to explore their own reasons for change and develop a sense of ownership and confidence in their progress.
