I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 29 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I am also a Registered Nurse. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, eating disorders, career challenges, and medical issues, for both patient and caregiver. I absolutely love Ms. Brenda. She is genuinely one of the nicest people and so easy to talk to. Our sessions just fly by because I feel like I can just talk and talk. I love that we can talk about whatever is on my mind but that she also offers me a lot of insight and different tactics to work on and through. I always feel seen/heard, which has been a challenge with those in my life and previous therapists. I truly use her therapeutic techniques in my daily life and have gained so much from this

I struggled with self-esteem issues, related to back to physical and emotional abuse, along with other contributing factors. Brenda helped me work through those issues and understand that those challenges actually forged the strengths and empathy that I have today. The time to bounce ideas with Brenda and explore topics, provided many opportunities to examine where I have been and where I wanted to go. I wouldn't be in the place I am today without her support and guidance.

She gives me a place to unpack my thoughts about myself and my relationships and some strategies to deal with difficulties.
I think CBT is the foundation of making life changes by learning to identify, understand and control your own thoughts. Your internal dialogue affects the way you feel and behave.
I see my role as a therapist to be a non-judgmental safe environment for honest self-exploration for the purpose of growth and self-actualization. Learning to be your authentic self.
There's a lot of buzz about Attachment Theory. I find it helps to understand the roots of your relating style, how to get your needs met and to heal towards a healthier attachment style.
