About me

Hello! I am a Licensed Psychologist in Florida with 26 years of experience working with adults, couples, and older children/young adults. Together, we will identify the challenges you are facing and work toward meaningful, effective changes that support your growth and well-being. I specialize in helping clients recognize patterns of thinking and behavior that are no longer serving them and introducing new strategies that foster a healthier, more fulfilling way of life. Together we will also focus on strengthening relationships through improved communication, conflict resolution, and providing a safe, supportive space to process emotions—helping you feel more confident in your relationships and in yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we will introduce ourselves and get to know one another. Think of it as a coffee talk session where you introduce yourself and identify what specific circumstances you are facing as well as some of your history that got you to where you are today. We will explore contextual, interpersonal and internal variables, and begin building a therapeutic relationship that feels safe and supportive. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and begin tailoring a treatment plan that fits your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I approach therapy as a collaborative process, where we work together to help you reach your goals. We’ll explore individual and contextual factors to better understand what’s been shaping your experiences and identify practical, effective solutions. Using a systemic and holistic lens, I help clients recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck and support them in creating meaningful change. Change isn’t easy, but staying in the same place can be even harder.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults, couples, young adults, and families who feel stuck or overwhelmed—whether in their thoughts, relationships, family dynamics, or day-to-day lives. If something isn’t working and you’re ready to understand why, we can identify the patterns that are keeping you there and begin creating a new way of experiencing the world. Together, we’ll move away from strategies that no longer serve you and build healthier, more effective ways of relating to yourself and others—so you can live a more fulfilling, meaningful life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a structured approach that examines the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It helps youidentify and modify maladaptive cognitive patterns and behavioral responses. In my practice I use CBT to identify cognitive distortions, catastrophizing, all-or-nothing thinking, mind reading, personalization, and maladaptive beliefs. I help you evaluate the evidence for your thoughts, develop more balanced interpretations, and practice alternative behaviors. I have been working with children, adults, couples and families for over 26 years using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as other treatment modalities such as behavioral therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, and trauma focused treatment, to discover new tools to identify how you can make positive changes in your life. It is imperative to know what behaviors do not serve you and why, but it is just as important learn what new behaviors you can introduce into your life to make effective change. I will work with you to help you reach your potential and feel that you are the best version of you.

Interpersonal

Focuses on the relationship between psychological symptoms and interpersonal relationships, communication, and interpersonal conflict. In my practice, I use interpersonal interventions when you are experiencing relationship conflict, communication difficulties, attachment-related distress, role transitions, grief, or interpersonal disconnection. I help you identify dysfunctional interaction patterns and develop more effective communication and relational strategies.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-focused brief treatment therapy is a future-oriented approach emphasizing solutions, strengths, resources, exceptions to problems, and achievable behavioral changes rather than extensively analyzing pathology. In my practice, I use solution-focused questioning to move you from "Why is this happening?" to "What can I do differently?" I help you identify what is already working, define desired outcomes, establish small behavioral goals, and identify concrete next steps.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally focused therapy uses interventions that help you identify, tolerate, understand, regulate, and appropriately express emotions rather than avoiding or becoming overwhelmed by them. I help you differentiate between primary emotions and secondary reactions, increase emotional awareness, tolerate distress, and respond intentionally rather than reactively. This is particularly relevant to anger, anxiety, grief, resentment, and relationship distress.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation provides you with understandable information about psychological processes, symptoms, relationships, behavioral patterns, and treatment principles. I frequently explain attachment, anxiety cycles, reinforcement, avoidance, emotional regulation, relationship dynamics, grief, substance use, and communication patterns so you can better understand why their patterns persist.

She was a very good therapist. I feel like she could've helped if I was in a different place as far as my recovery is going. She is a little harsh, but she said she would be. I am just feeling left a little lost because she couldn't take me on as a client and I need help. But oh well. She was good overall though.
