My name is Tanya, and I am passionate about mental health and serving those who are brave enough to seek support, and I enjoy working with individuals who have the desire to grow as a person. I believe there is great strength in vulnerability. I seek to support you with cultivating grace towards yourself, through exploring what factors have contributed to your struggle with feelings of fear, unworthiness or worry. I believe that you hold the wisdom you are seeking, and I will support you in channeling that. I utilize various evidence-based and mind/body techniques to best serve your individual needs. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be spent really getting to know you. I will ask you questions to get a clear understanding of what troubles you the most, and together we will collaborate on identifying your goals for your therapy journey. Together, we can address any worries you have about starting, and what you are hoping to get from our sessions. That way, I can develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

As human beings, I believe it is our deepest need to feel seen and heard in this loud world. I strive to provide you with the emotional safety to explore and express your inner world. As we build trust in our therapeutic relationship, I will guide you towards shifting your mindset from a space of lack towards one of gratitude and abundance. Through my clinical observation, I will empower you to identify and challenge any unhelpful subconscious beliefs that are likely preventing you from enjoying this human experience to it's fullest.

Through both personal and professional encounters, I've determined that I'm most passionate about helping individuals journey through grief/loss, chronic worry or insecurity, life transitions, and self development; Furthermore, I have a special place in my heart supporting caregivers and/or loved ones of a person with a memory impairment. With my extensive experience supporting seniors and their families navigate challenges such as end-of-life, Alzheimer's/Dementia , memory care, and long-term placement in various environments, I am equipped to navigate with you on this uncertain path. I will help you feel and process the complexities of overwhelming feelings in a safe, non-judgmental space as you journey through this unique experience. I see all of my clients as resilient, courageous individuals who are willing to admit they are struggling, and view therapy as the ultimate act of self-care.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Tanya utilizes the practice of mindfulness to support her clients with tapping into their own inner peace. Her warm presence provides her clients with the safety to explore how their past hurts are impacting their current experience. She lives by the mentality that you cannot change that which you are not aware of.

Grief Therapy

Tanya recognizes that grief is a part of the human experience, and that none of us are exempt from the pain of loss. Her personal and profession exposure to deep grief provides the solid foundation to journey with clients, offering a sacred space to meet you where you are with non-judgment and compassion.

Compassion Focused

Tanya knows the pain of living with chronic symptoms of anxiety and/or depression, yet she has also witnessed the power of self-compassion both in herself and her clients. As we begin to unpack life experiences, client's often start to see more clearly, where their negative core beliefs began and how they're being reinforced in the present. Tanya believes that in cultivating a true sense of compassion for ourselves, we have the capacity to improve our overall well-being, while also supporting the collective.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Tanya believes that you are the wisest person you know. While it is our greatest human need to feel seen and accepted, Tanya understands that this has unfortunately not been everyone's experience. Tanya enjoys helping her clients uncover what they are passionate about, and she will support you through challenging long held negative perceptions, shifting from a space of disempowerment towards one of empowerment.

Strength-Based

Tanya empowers her clients to live more consciously, and supports them with identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and beliefs that prevent them from living their best life. Tanya will journey with you, uncovering coping strategies that perhaps supported you in childhood, but are now hindering your growth. She will help you cultivate a tool box of positive coping skills to support your highest, most authentic self expression .

ive been to therapy on and off since i was young but Tanya has helped me break through more inner walls than any therapist ive had before. she uses an approaches that is grounded when topics are tough to feel while being open minded to help me see things i mightve not before. this has helped me rework my old narratives of my past into new perspectives that bring peace to decades of pain and confusion. Tanya brings warm holistic guidance to every session and i am grateful to finally have relief.
