I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social worker, with over a decade of experience providing therapy. I am caring, and empathetic. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Master Degree in Social Work, both from Florida International University. Prior to working as a therapist, I’ve worked with different agencies such Vocational Rehabilitation, the Foster care system, Community clinics which have made me well versed and resourceful. Prior to graduating with my masters I completed internships in a Psychiatric hospital and a substance abuse rehabilitation center.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During sessions with me, you can expect to feel heard and empowered. Together we will develop a plan to address the issues that are important to you. We will work on increasing your self-awareness. We will process any unresolved trauma that you may have. We will explore what is at the root of the issues. Together we can explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviors and past events that have an impact on your life and your relationships today.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strength is that I take time and care to establish rapport. I make sure that clients feel safe during conversations with me.

Applying the cognitive triangle to client’s situation to help them understand, how thoughts impact feelings, and feelings impact behaviors. Learning to recognize discomfort in the the body, use grounding techniques, reframe thoughts has been very helpful.
Eclectic
