I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida with over six years of experience helping individuals navigate a variety of mental health challenges. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and value providing culturally sensitive care to clients from diverse backgrounds. My clinical experience includes working in outpatient and community-based settings, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship concerns, self-esteem struggles, and substance use. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I aim to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and emotions. I work particularly well with individuals who feel unsure, stuck, or conflicted about making changes, and I help them build insight, increase motivation, and take meaningful steps forward at a pace that feels right for them. Whether you are working through past experiences or dealing with current stressors, I am here to support you in gaining clarity, strengthening coping skills, and moving toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and creating a space where you feel comfortable and supported. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy and what you would like to work on, so I can better understand your goals and priorities. We’ll also spend some time discussing your background, including important life experiences and relationships, to gain a clearer picture of what has shaped your current situation. You’re welcome to ask any questions about the therapy process along the way—I want you to feel informed and at ease. This first session is about building a foundation for our work together. We’ll begin to identify what feels most important to focus on, while moving at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel heard and understood as we begin working toward meaningful change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist come from the depth and variety of my clinical experience. Over the years, I have worked in diverse settings and with a wide range of client concerns, which has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in multiple therapeutic approaches. This enables me to adapt my style to best meet each client’s unique needs and goals. I draw from a broad set of tools and interventions to support clients facing challenges such as anxiety, substance use, relationship difficulties, and self-esteem concerns. My approach is flexible, collaborative, and client-centered, allowing me to meet you where you are and adjust our work as your needs evolve. I strive to offer thoughtful, practical support while creating a space that encourages growth, insight, and meaningful progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve clients who feel ambivalent about making change—those who may recognize the need for something different in their lives but feel uncertain, stuck, or conflicted about how to move forward. I work well with individuals who are navigating uncertainty, questioning long-standing patterns, or struggling with motivation and follow-through. My approach supports clients in exploring both sides of their ambivalence without judgment, helping them build clarity, strengthen intrinsic motivation, and move toward meaningful, values-driven change at a pace that feels manageable and authentic.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a well-established, evidence-based treatment that has been shown to be highly effective in managing anxiety, depression, and a wide range of other mental health challenges. In my practice, I have found CBT to be the most valuable therapeutic modality due to its structured, practical approach and its proven ability to help individuals overcome the most common mental health difficulties. By examining the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, CBT enables clients to identify and disrupt negative thinking patterns, ultimately leading to healthier behaviors and emotional responses. Throughout our work together, you’ll develop practical skills that you can apply in your everyday life, allowing you to better manage your emotions, increase resilience, and create lasting positive change in your mental health.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT) is an integrative approach that combines traditional therapeutic techniques with mindfulness practices to help individuals manage stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. In mindfulness-based therapy, the focus is often on learning to observe and accept thoughts and emotions as they arise, rather than getting caught up in them or reacting impulsively. This increased awareness can lead to better emotional regulation, reduced stress, and a deeper sense of inner peace. In sessions, we might practice mindfulness techniques such as meditation, breathing exercises, or body scans, which can help you stay grounded and present in the moment. Over time, these practices can help you break free from habitual thought patterns, gain clarity, and cultivate a deeper sense of well-being and balance in your life. Mindfulness-Based Therapy offers a gentle yet powerful way to increase emotional awareness and create lasting change.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a goal-oriented, future-focused approach that emphasizes finding solutions to current challenges rather than dwelling on past problems or causes. The therapist works collaboratively with the client to define clear goals and explore practical strategies for achieving them. The approach is built on the belief that clients already possess the skills and resilience needed to overcome their challenges, and the therapist's role is to help the client unlock and apply these strengths. Solution-Focused Therapy is typically brief and can be very effective for clients looking for quick results or those who are seeking practical solutions to specific issues, such as relationship difficulties, workplace stress, or coping with transitions. It is particularly useful for individuals who feel stuck and need a clear, positive way forward, while maintaining a sense of hope and agency in the process.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) has proven to be highly effective in treating a variety of mental health and behavioral issues, including substance use, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. By focusing on enhancing motivation for change and resolving ambivalence, MI empowers individuals to take ownership of their recovery and mental well-being. It is a particularly useful tool when working with clients who are ambivalent about change, resistant to traditional approaches, or struggling with the emotional challenges of making lasting changes. This modality is often used in conjuction with other modalities.
