I look forward to meeting and working with you. I am a licensed mental health counselor with a certification as a clinical trauma professional. I moved from Pennsylvania in 2019 as I could not handle winter anymore and needed to be somewhere warm! I have two Master of Arts degrees from Kutztown University - one in Counseling Psychology (obtained in 1995) and the other in School Counseling (obtained in 2004). I started in mental health therapy in 1995, moved into substance abuse counseling for several years, then to school counseling while I raised my son for 18 yrs, and now have returned to mental health/substance use counseling as that is my passion. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband doing outdoor activities - especially riding the Harley and going out on the water. I love to exercise and walk daily and enjoy knitting in my spare time. Everyone in life (including therapists at times) need someone to talk to in order to help resolve problems, manage stress, process trauma or enhance coping skills. I believe in looking at what you want to accomplish as the goal of therapy and then working on skills to achieve that goal. I utilize trauma stabilization and reprocessing strategies, cognitive-behavioral techniques as well as person-centered and solution focused techniques. I believe everyone has the tools inside them to achieve their goals; it is just about unlocking them and utilizing them. I have worked extensively with trauma survivors in addition to clients dealing with depression, anxiety, eating and substance use disorders. I have worked with the LGTBQ+ community. I enjoy working with all clients but prefer working with those ages 8 and older. I offer individual, couples, and family counseling.

Life can be hard, and I know that not only from my professional experience, but from my own personal journey. I’ve been working in the mental health field for over six years, but my perspective as a therapist has also been shaped by growing up in a multicultural family, with a Mexican mother and British father, experiencing poverty, becoming the first in my family to attend college, and having the opportunity to experience many different cultures and parts of the world. Those experiences have taught me that no matter how much or how little we have, we are all human. There are no perfect parents, perfect relationships, or perfect people—we’re all imperfect people trying to make sense of life, navigate challenges, and become better versions of ourselves.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a deep passion for helping individuals and couples build healthier, more connected relationships. Over the past 12 years, I’ve supported clients in breaking destructive patterns, improving communication, and creating relationships rooted in respect and understanding. I believe that when relationships struggle, it’s often because of conflicting expectations, unmet needs, or repeated behaviors that no longer serve us. My role is to help you recognize these patterns and choose new ways of communicating that create connection instead of conflict. I use a holistic approach that considers the mind, body, and spirit, helping you grow not just in your relationships, but as a whole person.

I think one of the most important parts of therapy is finding the right "fit". That relationship is key in helping grow, trust and meet any goals that you might have going into the therapeutic process. Let me give you a glimpse of who I am! I'm Amy, a LMHC, who has been in the counseling world for over 15 years and love what I get to do. I started my career in the community health sector which I learned so much and worked with diverse groups of people with an array of various needs. I have worked in school settings as well as in homes. I have been deep within the community in many of my roles along the way. I have developed many techniques along the way as not one intervention will work for everyone. Some of the modalities I use are EMDR, CBT, Motivational interviewing, solution-focused techniques as well as a combination of these. I meet people where they are, maybe having to learn how they are even feeling let alone how to cope with that feeling. Maybe we have a tool, but if no one ever took the time to teach us, then what good is that tool?

I help adults struggling with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, burnout, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem. My approach is practical, structured, and collaborative. I combine evidence-based trauma therapies with clear goals to help clients develop effective coping skills, process difficult experiences, recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and create meaningful change. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than two decades in competitive corporate environments where long hours, high expectations, and constant pressure were the norm. After earning an MBA from George Washington University and completing postgraduate work at Emory University, I experienced firsthand how chronic stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, and unresolved personal issues can affect both professional success and life outside of work. This background helps me connect naturally with professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and others navigating demanding careers, while my practice serves all adults from many different backgrounds. Over the past eight years, I have provided psychotherapy in psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment programs, specialized treatment settings, court-supervised programs, and private practice. Much of my clinical work has focused on trauma recovery, emotional regulation, healthier coping strategies, recovery, relationships, identity exploration and personal growth. Whether you are carrying unresolved trauma, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or stress, navigating a difficult relationship or transition, or questioning what comes next, therapy should do more than help you understand why you feel stuck. My goal is to create a safe, direct, and supportive environment where we can turn insight into action, address what is getting in the way, and build practical strategies for moving toward the life you want to create.

My name is Algelis Gonzalez, though I am commonly known as Al. My motivation to become a therapist stems from my personal journey. Growing up in a Latino culture, I developed a curiosity about people both within my community and beyond. This curiosity has driven me to understand the reasons behind our behaviors, both positive and negative. Throughout my career as a therapist, I continue to learn and grow, drawing from the vast knowledge available in the field. I am deeply committed to helping my clients embrace their true selves, regardless of their personality traits—whether they are humorous, quiet and shy, hesitant to trust, or feeling frustrated with the world. I believe that everyone is welcome in my practice. Recognizing that none of us are perfect and that we are all striving to make sense of life’s complexities, I focus on exploring my clients’ experiences with respect and understanding. I have been a practicing social worker for more than 30 years . Much of this experience has been working in a large public teaching hospital in Miami, Florida. The scope of service that the hospital provides is quite comprehensive which afforded me opportunities to work with a very diverse population . i have counseled patients and their families dealing with a variety of illnesses, both physical and mental health, survivors of sexual assault, and also providing counseling to patients in a correctional setting. I like challenging situations. My style of counseling is very eclectic, depends on the client and their unique set of problems. This can range from client centered, solution oriented or cognitive behavioral as many people are coming to therapy to learn new ways of thinking and alternative coping strategies. For the past two years, I have been involved in teletherapy providing psychotherapy to clients that are experiencing such problems as anxiety, depression, employment, relationship, and interpersonal difficulties. Also I have been providing counseling to teenagers dealing with the above issues and involving their parents when indicated.

Do you find yourself appearing capable and composed on the outside while quietly carrying a constant sense of pressure, responsibility, or emotional exhaustion on the inside? Many high-functioning professionals and women are skilled at managing work, relationships, and expectations, yet still feel overwhelmed by the invisible weight they carry. I am a licensed therapist dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space where your experiences are heard, respected, and explored without judgment. My counseling approach honors the complexity of your life and the cultural, relational, and personal factors that shape how you show up in the world. Together, we examine the patterns that contribute to stress, over-responsibility, emotional urgency, and difficulty prioritizing your own needs. In therapy, we work to slow down the cycle of constant doing and shift toward greater clarity, regulation, and self-understanding. This process often includes identifying long-standing patterns, strengthening emotional boundaries, and building healthier ways of responding to stress, relationships, and internal pressure. My goal is to support you in processing life’s challenges while reconnecting with your strengths and capacity for balance. At the center of my work is the belief that meaningful change begins with awareness, followed by intentional repair and compassionate growth—an approach reflected in the Break. Repair. Heal.™ framework that guides my practice.

Hello there! My name is Elizabeth Taylor and I am in Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have been working as a counselor for the past 9 years, although I have been working in the mental health field for much longer. I began working as a Mental Health Technician when I was an Airman in the United States Air Force in 2007. I worked closely with military men and women returning from deployments and experiencing symptoms of PTSD. I led Anger Management and Stress Management groups. This experience grew my desire to enter into a field that involved helping those struggling with mental health challenges to find healing. I separated from the Air Force and went into grad school. Since graduating, I have worked as a therapist with several different populations, including families involved with the foster care system, adult inmates in a prison, youth in the Juvenile Justice system, adults in community mental health, children in the school setting, and, most recently, adults and children in private practice. I have a passion for working with those suffering with anxiety, OCD, and trauma. I have specialized training in EMDR to help treat trauma, as well as ERP, which has been shown to be the "Gold Standard" treatment for OCD. I am also certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which guides much of my approach to emotion regulation.

Everyone thinks you have it together. You show up for work. You take care of your family. You handle what needs to be done. Yet underneath it all, you’re exhausted. You find yourself overthinking, worrying about everyone else, feeling disconnected from who you used to be, or wondering why life feels so much harder than it should. Maybe you’ve spent so much time being strong for everyone else that you’ve forgotten what you need. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. For over 23 years, I’ve helped adults navigate anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the overwhelming pressure of trying to hold everything together. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. Together, we’ll identify the patterns keeping you stuck, develop effective coping strategies, and help you reconnect with yourself so life feels more manageable and meaningful again. Therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating. Sometimes it begins with one conversation and the decision to stop carrying everything alone.

Taking the first step toward feeling better can be difficult, especially when you have been carrying emotional struggles on your own. You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Therapy can provide a safe place to slow down, better understand what you are experiencing, and begin making changes that feel meaningful to you. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida with more than 15 years of experience, I help individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, loneliness, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, communication difficulties, and challenging life transitions. I also support people who are struggling with guilt, shame, isolation, or a loss of confidence and purpose. I provide a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly and feel heard, respected, and understood. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and solution-focused. Because everyone’s experiences and needs are different, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to your individual concerns, strengths, and goals. Together, we can explore the thoughts, feelings, experiences, and patterns that may be keeping you from living the life you want. We will work to identify your existing strengths, develop healthy coping skills, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and create practical strategies that can make everyday life feel more manageable. I believe therapy is a collaborative process and that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to support and guide you as you build confidence, resilience, and a greater sense of balance. Whether you are seeking healing from the past, support with a current challenge, or hope for the future, you do not have to face it alone. Together, we can work toward meaningful and lasting change.

Hello! I work with people who want help finding ways to live a more fulfilling life. As a therapist, I help people recognize their strengths as we work together to overcome difficulties. Almost all of us struggle with many of the same questions. "Am I good enough?" "Why do I feel like I don't matter?" "Will I ever be truly happy when I seem to make the same choices over and over again?" Do you want to manage anxiety? Do you feel depressed? Have you experienced a trauma? Do you find yourself unable to finish projects or find your car keys? Are the kids struggling? Whatever is going wrong, a safe place to talk, knowing your trust will never be compromised, is a wonderful gift you can give yourself. During the first visit, we'll talk about what you want to see happen. Together will come up with a plan. Lasting change is possible. You can create a happy and fulfilling life.
