You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by experiences that are difficult to make sense of - whether that’s anxiety, past or present trauma, relationship challenges, or simply the strain of getting through each day. I work with individuals navigating a wide range of challenges, whether finding it hard to cope, or functioning on the outside while struggling internally. Many of my clients have experienced difficult or painful life events and are seeking a space where they can feel understood, supported, and free from judgment. My approach is thoughtful, grounded, and tailored to each individual. I will meet you where you are, at a pace that feels manageable. Together, we will work to make sense of your experiences, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical ways to help you feel more stable, more in control, and more like yourself again. I bring both professional training and real-life perspective to my work, allowing me to connect with clients in a genuine and down-to-earth way. Therapy with me is not about quick fixes—it’s about meaningful, lasting change and having someone alongside you who understands how difficult things can feel. Reaching out for therapy is a big step, and I aim to make the process as supportive and straightforward as possible from the beginning. An initial conversation can help determine whether working together feels like the right fit, provide a sense of what the process might look like, and address any questions you may have. I earned my degree from the University of West Florida and have worked across diverse settings, always guided by one core belief: you are the expert on your life. I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as your authentic self, feel genuinely heard, and explore what is happening in your life without fear of judgment. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with doctoral-level training, I am passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves, navigate difficult experiences, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier patterns that support meaningful and lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and empowering. I do not believe therapy is about simply telling you what to do or giving you a list of solutions. Instead, I work alongside you to understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, recognize your strengths, and develop practical tools that can help you move forward with greater confidence and intention. I also understand that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you are used to handling things on your own. My goal is to create an environment where you can be honest, curious, and supported while working at a pace that feels appropriate for you. Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, emotional overwhelm, or simply feeling ready for something different, therapy can provide an opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, stronger boundaries, healthier relationships, improved coping skills, and deeper confidence in the choices you make. I want you to leave therapy not only feeling understood, but also feeling more equipped to navigate life independently, trust yourself, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters most to you. I view therapy as a partnership, and I value creating a space where you can feel challenged, encouraged, and genuinely supported throughout the process.

Licensed Psychotherapist | Culturally Sensitive | Trauma-Informed Welcome, I’m Nubia. Healing doesn’t happen overnight — but with the right support, it absolutely happens. Whether you're working through trauma, betrayal, anxiety, divorce, or simply feeling emotionally stuck, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity, strength, and care. I work with adults navigating life transitions, stress, or emotional wounds that have been hard to process alone. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or unsure of how to break free from patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we explore the deeper “why” behind those patterns — and create space for healing, resilience, and growth. My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). These methods help us understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected — and how to gently shift the beliefs that keep you feeling stuck. But beyond technique, I lead with authenticity, compassion, and cultural awareness. In our sessions, you’ll find a space that feels safe, honest, and judgment-free. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning to it, you are welcome exactly as you are. Clients often tell me they feel more centered, more empowered, and more hopeful after working together. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and virtual sessions, because healing should fit into real life. If you’re ready to begin your journey — whether you’re clear on your goals or still figuring them out — I’d be honored to support you. Let’s take the first step, together. Hello, I’m Dennis Alvarez, PsyD. I believe counseling should both encourage and thoughtfully challenge individuals to move toward their fullest potential by addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of their lives. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a licensed psychotherapist with experience across hospital, treatment, and private-practice settings. Throughout my career, I have provided individual and group therapy as well as comprehensive psychological assessments to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational distress, substance-use concerns, and life-transition stressors. My clinical background includes work in hospitals, substance-use treatment programs, and outpatient private practice, where I integrate evidence-based approaches within a holistic, person-centered framework. I am also the author of When Heaven Was Silent: Integrating Psychology and Theology in the Garden of Gethsemane, which explores the experience of mental suffering through both clinical and historical perspectives. My doctoral dissertation focused on trauma and psychological adaptation, further shaping my approach to helping individuals understand their internal patterns, build resilience, and restore a sense of meaning and purpose. In my work with clients, I emphasize helping people understand how and why certain thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns develop, particularly in the context of anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-use histories. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment while also encouraging insight, personal responsibility, and growth. My goal is to help you move toward a more grounded, authentic, and meaningful life.

Life can become overwhelming when anxiety, depression, past trauma, relationship struggles, or shame begin to affect your confidence, peace, and hope. You do not have to face these challenges alone. Finding the right therapist can be the first step toward meaningful change. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina specializing in trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, and relationship challenges with adults. For those who desire it, I offer Christian faith integration as part of the counseling process. I understand the importance faith can have in providing strength, identity, and healing. I also welcome clients who prefer a traditional clinical approach, and our work together will always be guided by your personal values and goals. A significant focus of my practice is helping men who feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, burdened by shame, or affected by past experiences, relationship wounds, or trauma. Many people have spent years carrying struggles on their own. Together, we will identify what may be keeping you stuck, develop practical strategies for change, and work toward healthier relationships and greater emotional well-being. My counseling style is practical, structured, and compassionate. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and other therapeutic methods to help clients manage anxiety, process difficult experiences, change unhealthy patterns, and build skills for long-term growth. I earned my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida and have experience working with adults facing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, family conflict, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Taking the first step toward counseling is not always easy. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered as you move toward healing, confidence, and a more fulfilling life.

Hi my name is Amy, and I first want to acknowledge how difficult and scary it feels to begin the process of therapy, either for the first time or starting with a new therapist. I take very seriously the enormous strength that takes and I work very hard to ensure that you feel safe and heard as we begin the therapeutic relationship. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 15 years of experience providing counseling in both inpatient and outpatient centers. I received my Master’s degree in counseling in 2008, from Webster University. I had the privilege of working in an inpatient eating disorder facility for five years and have continued that work in outpatient settings. I am an ally to the LGBTQ community and it is important to me that clients find this a safe space. I have a passion for connecting with teenagers, college students and career women to build a safe place with an adult where they can voice their feelings and experiences without fear of judgement. I also especially enjoy working with young adult women as they navigate their way through the process of beginning adulthood. I have experience with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and general women’s issue. I am especially passionate about working with CPTSD and PTSD. I have received training and supervision in working with trauma as it is a highly specialized field. Trauma survivors need validation, belief, compassion and acceptance first and foremost before a trusting relationship can be established. I have working with women exiting a toxic relationship, having endured narcissistic abuse and/or infidelity (betrayal trauma) which is many times misunderstood by well-intentioned people. My approach is warm, compassionate and highly empathetic as I work to establish a safe environment for healing to take place.

Hello, my name is Nicole! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and what I do ! I am a licensed psychotherapist practicing in Florida. I love what I do and I am honored to have the opportunity to serve my community.I work with a variety of clients from ages 5-65 both in person and via telehealth; depending on client preference. I provide individual, couples and family therapy. I like to be very client centered in my approach; and combine techniques to meet you where you are, and work with you in a way that works for you. I tailor my approach specifically for you and your specific goals for our work together. What is important for you at the current moment, is where we will start :) In addition to a client centered approach, I also like to look at the entire person, and their lifestyle to take a more holistic approach to healing. I often combine ancient/traditional practices with modern psychotherapy for those clients who are open to it. Our bodies, minds and spirits are all connected - so it can be helpful to focus on all areas to create healing on all levels and help create the best quality of life possible for each unique individual.

My name is Miguel Lopez, a Hispanic male (He/Him/His) and U.S. Army combat veteran who brings a unique perspective to my work as a therapist. Fluent in Spanish and passionate about guiding people through life’s challenges, I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University, and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice from Pikes Peak State College. With over a decade of experience as a caseworker, substance abuse counselor, and therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients facing real-life struggles and in need of daily support. Life can be tough, and we all face difficult moments—whether it’s a breakup, divorce, grief, the loss of a loved one or pet, or even a job loss. In these times, having an unbiased person to offer support can make a world of difference. I see trauma as an unexpected part of life that is often hard to process, but with the right help, it can be managed and overcome healthily. I’ve personally experienced more than my share of trauma, grief, loss, sadness, depression, and substance use, and I sought help to work through them. My approach to therapy is centered on helping people in the best way possible, always with an open mind. I often use Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as a guide, because I believe mental health is hard to prioritize when physical needs aren’t met, or issues like homelessness or substance abuse are present. I enjoy working with clients from age 5 to older adults who face Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and other mental health or substance use challenges. It’s easy to fight battles alone and suffer in silence, but you don’t have to anymore—together, we can work toward healing and a better future.
