About me

I am a compassionate, strength-based therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families heal, grow, and reconnect with their resilience. I specialize in trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and parent–child dynamics, using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, CPT, solution-focused therapy, family systems work, and Gottman-informed couples therapy. My style is collaborative, warm, and deeply supportive—I meet clients exactly where they are and help them build the skills, clarity, and confidence needed to create meaningful change. My goal is to guide you toward lasting emotional wellness and a life aligned with your values.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, my primary goal is to help you feel safe, heard, and understood. We’ll take time to explore what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to change or improve in your life. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about your history, current concerns, strengths, and support system—not to overwhelm you, but to build a clear picture of who you are and what you need. We’ll also talk about your goals for therapy and begin outlining a plan tailored specifically to you. I’ll explain how I work, the types of tools I may use, and what our sessions can look like moving forward. You’re welcome to share at your own pace; there is no pressure to dive into anything before you’re ready. By the end of the first session, you’ll have a sense of direction, support, and clarity—and you’ll know that you’re not alone in whatever you’re facing. My aim is for you to leave feeling hopeful, grounded, and confident that this is a safe space for your healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out most in my work is my ability to combine deep compassion with practical, evidence-based strategies. I am skilled at creating a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely understood, while also offering clear structure, tools, and insights that lead to meaningful results. I draw from a wide range of therapeutic models—including CBT, CPT, solution-focused therapy, family systems work, and Gottman-informed interventions—which allows me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. Clients appreciate that I am both gentle and direct: I validate their experiences while also guiding them toward growth, clarity, and healthier patterns. Another core strength is my ability to quickly identify relational and emotional patterns and translate them into actionable steps. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I help clients understand why patterns occur and how to shift them in a sustainable way. My approach is deeply strength-based, trauma-informed, solution and collaborative, empowering clients to feel more confident, capable, and connected. Ultimately, my greatest strengths lie in helping clients feel safe enough to explore their vulnerable places and supported enough to transform them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals , couples, and families in all ages and background, who are ready for change—even if they don’t yet know what that change looks like. I work best with clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and want guidance that is supportive, practical, and grounded in evidence-based care. Many of the people I serve are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, parenting challenges, woman's or man's issues or life transitions. Whether they are working to heal past wounds, strengthen relationships, improve communication, or rebuild emotional regulation, I partner with clients who are seeking a therapist who is warm, direct, and deeply invested in their growth.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I have extensive experience using strength-based interventions across diverse clinical settings, including trauma treatment, anxiety and depression management, couples therapy, parenting work, and play-based interventions. I consistently focus on identifying each client’s inherent abilities, past successes, and personal values, and I use these as the foundation for change. This approach fosters empowerment, decreases shame, and increases motivation—especially for clients who have felt overwhelmed or “stuck” in deficit-based narratives.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have extensive experience using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) with individuals, couples, families, and children. Over the years, it has become one of the most effective and empowering frameworks in my work, especially for clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or discouraged by past-focused models. SFBT allows clients to quickly identify their strengths, recognize their internal resources, and move toward meaningful change using practical, achievable steps.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a wide range of clinical issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, parenting challenges, and relationship conflict. Over the years, CBT has become one of the primary evidence-based frameworks I rely on because it provides clients with practical tools, deeper self-awareness, and long-term resilience. CBT helps clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another, and it empowers them to interrupt unhelpful patterns and develop healthier responses. I use CBT both in its traditional form and in combination with trauma-informed, strength-based, and relational approaches.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) with adolescents and adults who are recovering from trauma, including complex trauma, childhood abuse, domestic violence, combat trauma, sexual assault, medical trauma, and sudden loss. CPT is one of the most evidence-based treatments for PTSD, and over the years, it has become a central component of my trauma-focused work. CPT helps clients understand how trauma has shaped their beliefs about themselves, others, and the world, and it gives them structured tools to challenge the “stuck points” that keep trauma symptoms active. It is compassionate, empowering, and deeply transformative when delivered with a trauma-informed and strength-based lens.

Couples Counseling

I have extensive experience providing couples and family therapy across a wide range of concerns—including communication difficulties, conflict cycles, parenting challenges, trauma, infidelity, emotional disconnection, blended family stress, and multi-generational patterns. Over many years, I have worked with diverse family systems and relational structures, helping them strengthen connection, repair trust, and build healthier interaction patterns. My approach is grounded in attachment theory, systems thinking, and strength-based principles. I draw from the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, and structural/strategic family therapy models. My goal is always to help couples and families recognize their patterns, cultivate emotional safety, and create meaningful, lasting change.
