New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over nine years of experience providing mental health services in admissions, crisis intervention, and outpatient therapy. My experience includes working at the Community Services Board in Lynchburg, VA, and as an outpatient therapist at Thriveworks since 2017. In August 2024, I founded Finding Strength and Hope, LLC, where I provide individual, couples, and family therapy for adults, adolescents, and children. My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, and I believe that healing happens through a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and respect.
During our first session, my goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your concerns, your personal history, your strengths, and the goals you'd like to achieve. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, but there is no pressure to share everything at once. Together, we'll begin developing a plan tailored to your unique needs, and you'll leave with a clearer understanding of how we can work together toward meaningful change.
I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood. My background in crisis services, outpatient therapy, and working with individuals across the lifespan has equipped me to support clients through a wide range of challenges. I value authenticity, empathy, and collaboration, and I focus on helping clients recognize their existing strengths while developing practical tools to manage life's difficulties. My goal is to empower clients to build resilience, improve self-awareness, and create lasting, meaningful change.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families who are ready to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping with life's challenges. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, or substance use. Whether someone is seeking support during a difficult season or looking to build long-term emotional wellness, I welcome clients who are open to self-exploration and committed to making positive changes at a pace that feels right for them.
