Hello! I’m Kenneth Todd, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience helping individuals, couples, and families move toward the lives they truly want. I earned my degree from the University of West Florida and have worked across diverse settings, always guided by one core belief: you are the expert on your life. My approach is rooted in Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) — a dynamic, forward-looking method that emphasizes your strengths, your vision, and your capacity for change. SFT is built on four pillars: • Description: What does your best life look like? • Difference: What’s already working, even a little? • Change: What small steps can build momentum? • Outcome: What will life be like when things improve? Together, we’ll explore your goals, uncover your inner resources, and build a path toward meaningful outcomes. Whether you're navigating a life transition, seeking clarity, or simply want to feel more like yourself again — I’m here to help you discover who you are at your best. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

WELCOME TO YOU FIRST SESSION “There’s no right or wrong way to begin—just start where you are.” In our first session together, we’ll begin with brief introductions and then explore your best hopes, or specific changes you’d like to see in your life. This helps us stay focused on what matters most to you as we work toward your goals in future sessions. We’ll also go over the documentation and assessments that may be used during our work together. These tools are not meant to label you—they’re here to help us better understand your experience and guide our process. A Note About the Journey Therapy isn’t always easy. You might feel uncomfortable at times, forget to follow through on something you wanted to work on, or have trouble putting your feelings into words. You may even lose your train of thought or not know where to begin. That’s all okay. What matters most is that you feel supported, challenged, and that you’re growing as a person. “You’re always welcome to ask questions.” What to Expect in Follow-Up Sessions • Goal-setting and progress check-ins • Identifying successes and strengths • Exploring patterns, beliefs, or behaviors • Using documentation and assessments to guide our work Scheduling Overview • Platform Messaging: Responses typically within 24–48 hours. • Session Options: Standard length is 45 minutes; 30-minute sessions available upon request. • Booking: Use the Scheduler to select from available time slots. • Frequency: Scheduling once weekly is most common for clients providing the most consistency. • Therapy Commitment: Regular attendance is key to progress. Sessions should be distraction-free and focused. Acknowledgement of Responsible Participation I’m looking forward to our first live session. Before we begin, I’d like to share a few important policies to ensure we make the most of our time together: • Emergencies: Life happens. If an emergency prevents you from attending, please reach out as soon as you’re able so I can understand the situation. • Lateness: Sessions are scheduled for a set time. If you’re late, we may not be able to extend the session. Repeated lateness may prompt a conversation about your readiness for therapy. • Cancellations: Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance for non-emergencies. This allows me to offer the time slot to someone else. • No-Shows: If you don’t show up within 15 minutes of our scheduled time and haven’t contacted me, the session will be marked as a no-show incurring a charge assessed by Grow. • Bottom Line: Communication is key. If you’re running late, need to cancel, or have had an emergency, just let me know as soon as you can. ----------------------------------------------- A note about "Couples or Marriage" Counseling Just a quick heads up—when therapy is billed through insurance, there must always be one identified client, even if more than one person attends sessions. Insurance companies require a primary individual for billing, diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation. That’s why intake paperwork and treatment plans are written for one person rather than for a couple or family. Again, everything hinges around the identified client which is you. This doesn’t limit us from working on relationship concerns or having your partner join sessions—many people do this. It simply means that, from the insurance perspective, the focus of treatment must be tied to YOUR mental health needs, how the relationship affects YOU. There are therapy options specifically colloquially known as “couples therapy,” but those are typically self pay because insurance will not cover treatment UNLESS it is connected to one person’s diagnosis and documented need for care. When clients choose self-pay, things can look different. But when insurance is involved, the treatment is considered individual therapy, with the option of including a partner when it supports the identified client’s goals. I hope this helps but if you have additional questions, I will do my best to assist you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My life’s work has been shaped by a deep commitment to service, healing, and faith. From my time as an 8404 Navy Corpsman embedded with the Marines, to guiding adolescents as a Youth Pastor, and now walking alongside individuals as a Social Worker, I’ve cultivated a holistic approach to care—one that honors the body, nurtures the soul, and engages the mind. Each chapter of my journey has taught me to listen deeply, act compassionately, and remain grounded in purpose. Whether tending to wounds on the battlefield or offering counsel in moments of emotional crisis, I’ve learned that true support begins with presence and empathy. At the core of everything I do is my faith. It’s the compass that directs my steps and the wellspring from which I draw purpose. It fuels my desire to bring comfort, advocate for justice, and uplift those who feel unseen. I believe that healing is sacred work—and I’m honored to be part of it.
