Greetings, my name is Zekecia Bennett, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am a Florida native with over fifteen years of experience in social work. I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of South Florida and my Master of Social Work from Walden University. I love the therapeutic process and have a strong desire to empower others by enhancing their well-being through psychotherapy.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I believe that compassion, empowerment, and respect for each other will act as a catalyst for change. I am delighted to be a part of this journey with you!
As a licensed clinical social worker, my greatest strengths are communication, motivation, and honesty.
Over the years, I have had the pleasure to work with individuals, couples, and groups, with ages ranging from adolescences to older adults. I also have experience working in multiple settings such as non-profit/for-profit agencies, out-patient treatment centers, and foster care.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT help people increase their emotional and cognitive regulation by learning about the triggers that lead to reactive states and by helping to assess which coping skills to apply in the sequence of events, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to help avoid undesired reactions.

Zekecia pushes me every session to follow through on the inner work to reprogram the way I think about myself and how I interact with the people in my life. She has tangible solutions and strategies to do the work to improve my self image and life.

I feel she has created a safe space for my wife and I, to be able to share, be honest, and communicate our interests, intentions and express ourselves in ways that are healthy for our relationship. A non judgmental, non biased person is exactly what we needed. We enjoy our sessions and look forward to seeing the progress , growth and development in our journey in couples counseling.
