Hi, I'm Johanny Peña, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and compassionate while also being direct when needed. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported without judgment.
Together, we'll explore both the practical challenges you're facing today and the deeper patterns that may be contributing to them. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for change, my goal is to help you build greater self-understanding, resilience, and confidence in your life.
Hola, Welcome! My name is Monique and I’m a bilingual mental health counselor with over seven years of experience supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and emotions. Over the years, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, adults, caregivers, and professionals navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, depression, life transitions, and burnout. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck in negative thinking patterns, or struggling with stress in relationships, work, or major life changes. I help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so they can develop practical tools to manage stress, build healthier boundaries, and feel more in control of their lives. I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. I provide a warm, collaborative space where clients can explore stress, transitions, relationships, and personal growth in a way that feels both practical and empowering. My goal is to help you build clarity, resilience, and confidence as you create a life that feels balanced and aligned with who you are.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor, my passion is to provide clients a safe place to focus on their journey toward growth and healing. I have over twenty years of experience counseling clients of all ages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief/loss and relationship difficulties. I also work with those that are seeking encouragement from someone nonjudgmental as they face life’s stressors and difficult decisions. I offer individual, couples, and family therapy (both in office & through telehealth).

Hello, my name is Takiyah Thomas Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida with 5 years of experience. I want to start affirming you by saying "You are improving your mental health symptoms every day." I'm stating this because you made the healthy choice to seek therapy. As your therapist I will always be on the lookout for strengths and empowering tools that I can use to keep you motivated to stay the course. Why? Because many times our maladaptive responses to our mental health symptoms form habits that require motivation and practice to unlearn. I will be there every step of the way to encourage you to keep moving forward. You got this, but it's nice to have your own personal cheerleader encouraging you and believing in you.
Biography: I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I facilitate the spiritual, mental and emotional healing process through talk therapy. The focus of most of my adult life has been to be a skilled helper to people in need. As I moved through my theological training, I realized that, often, others needed deeper support than "church" alone could give. I pursued further education to become a clinical counselor to meet those needs.
I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including, outpatient community mental health, inpatient/outpatient substance abuse/addiction, sex offender therapy in the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, mental health professional in the Florida Department of Corrections, inpatient and day treatment of chronically mentally ill, and private practice.
I believe my gift, in the counseling relationship, is that I help others see things for themselves. I also have a Christian world view which informs my interaction with others. I am a compassionate, non judgmental, "Wounded healer". Yes, I have had to negotiate life's struggles like anyone else. So, it is not just an academic exercise with me. I offer compassionate support while we work through your mental health issues including, depression, anxiety, stress, anger, fear, grief, loss, codependency, and self esteem issues.

I have been a therapist for the past 30 years. I am the type of therapist that provides a safe and comfortable environment where the person can be their authentic self. I have conversations with my clients that help them address their issues. My therapeutic personal style is to be curious and ask many questions so that the person can look at themselves and their issues more closely.
Hello, I am Fabiola Desire. Thank you for choosing me and you are in great hands! The reason I choose to be in this is field is that my Haitian grandmother taught to me to see the good in people and show compassion to others. I am a product of Haitian immigrant parents and saw the lack of mental health services in the community. I want to be able to get you through your life challenges. I have provided a safe place you to share the most sensitive moments in your life. Therapy can be difficult as we discussed vulnerable and sensitive events they may have happened in your life. However, seeking therapy can give you a sense of empowerment, freedom, and a place for you to heal and see things from a different perspective. I am here to be along with you during this journey. Clients have been able to share the most difficult events in their lives with me. I provide support, comfortable and safe place for you to share your life.

As a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community, I am passionate about making individuals feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey. I specialize in working with trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief, and I believe deeply in the importance of learning to be present in the moment and exploring how to navigate life as it unfolds. My goal is to empower clients with tools, insight, and self-compassion as they grow and heal.
You know yourself more than anyone! I’m here to help you navigate layers of emotional needs, learn how to set healthy boundaries, and provide a space where you feel safe to be yourself. I would love to be a part of your journey.
Hello! My name is Laura and I am an LCSW with 6 years of experience with therapy and 10 years of experience in the field. I have worked in several different non-profits including ones working with the LGBTQ+ community, substance use and SPMI. I am trained to work with CBT, ACT, MI, DBT, and CPT. Outside of work I enjoy playing board games, baking, reading and crafts of all kinds.
Many of my clients are women and teen girls (12 and up) who are high-functioning on the outside but feel exhausted, anxious, or disconnected on the inside. You may be managing work, school, relationships, or caregiving while internally feeling overwhelmed, stuck in overthinking, or like you’re running on empty.
If you’re someone who’s tried to “figure it out” on your own or learned coping skills in therapy before but still find yourself falling into the same patterns, you’re not alone. Many of the women I work with come in feeling frustrated that insight hasn’t translated into real change.
In our work together, we focus on getting to the root of what’s keeping you stuck in cycles like burnout, over-functioning, people-pleasing, and difficulty setting boundaries. Instead of just managing symptoms, we work to understand and shift what’s driving them so the change actually lasts.
A key part of this process involves working with your nervous system—not just your thoughts. You may already understand what’s going on logically, but still feel it in your body and day-to-day life. We focus on helping your system feel safer, more grounded, and less reactive so you can begin to break those automatic cycles and respond in new ways.
I integrate EMDR, somatic approaches, attachment-based therapy, TF-CBT, and experiential work to support both emotional processing and practical change. The goal is to help you move from insight into real, sustainable shifts in how you feel, relate, and show up in your life.
Sessions are collaborative and paced so you don’t feel rushed or overwhelmed. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, emotionally steady, and connected to yourself and your relationships.
I also offer trauma intensives for self-pay clients who want deeper, focused work in a shorter period of time.
One of the most important components of therapy is the relationship and connection between the client and therapist. As a therapist, I pride myself on providing a safe and open environment for clients. I show up authentically so that my clients can as well. As a member of the queer and neurodivergent community, I know the importance of having an open and affirming space. As a therapist my goal is to help people help themselves. You are the expert on you, and sometimes our own thoughts or experiences can get in the way of being the best version of ourselves. Everyone shows up in this world differently and for many of us the spaces we grew up in and live in can shape that. Therapy can be about understanding the past, as well as paving the way forward. Breaking generational trauma, understanding attachment, learning to cope, and building on resiliency to create the life you want.
My framework for therapy is person centered, solution focused, and trauma informed. Each client's goals are unique and therefore we will work together to create a plan for how to reach these goals.
I am a NY, and FLA. state licensed mental health counselor and CA state professional clinical counselor with a specialty in substance abuse disorders. I teach coping strategies to help alleviate stress, and the skills needed to maintain overall wellbeing in challenging times. I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, EFT(tapping), and Somatic feedback.
Hi, I’m Marcy. I specialize in working with parents and caregivers, with a focus on strengthening connection and helping families grow together through life’s challenges. Whether you’re adjusting to a new child, navigating trauma, facing the unexpected, or feeling disconnected, I’m here to help you find your way forward. Together, we will create a safe space that provides the care you deserve so that you can show up fully for yourself, your children, and your loved ones. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina specializing in trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, and relationship challenges in adults.
As a committed Christian counselor, I provide evidence-based therapy that integrates faith into the healing process for clients who desire it, while always respecting each person's beliefs, values, and goals.
A significant part of my practice focuses on helping men who feel stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally disconnected, or burdened by shame, anxiety, and the effects of past trauma. Many of my clients have spent years trying to manage these struggles on their own and are looking for a practical, structured approach that offers both emotional healing and lasting change.
My approach is structured and practical, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and supportive counseling techniques to help clients understand patterns, regulate emotions, and build healthier ways of thinking and responding.
Many of the challenges I work with are connected to childhood or relational trauma, which can continue to affect confidence, relationships, and emotional well-being.
My goal is to help clients reduce emotional distress, strengthen confidence, improve relationships, and move toward a more grounded and meaningful life.
I'm Juan Carlos Martell, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and the founder of Psych Life Incorporated. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation — not a clinical evaluation. When you sit with me, you're not a diagnosis or a case file. You're a person navigating something difficult, and you deserve to be met with warmth, honesty, and genuine understanding.
My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Existential Therapy to help you work through what's weighing you down while reconnecting with what actually matters to you. CBT gives you practical, evidence-based tools to shift the thought patterns keeping you stuck. Existential therapy invites us to go deeper, exploring questions about identity, purpose, and the kind of life you truly want to build. Together, they create change that's both practical and meaningful.
I work with adults and teens in navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-doubt, and the quiet question so many of us carry: "Is this really the life I want?" Sessions with me are warm, direct, and free of jargon. You'll leave with tools you can actually use — not just insight, but real strategies for your everyday life.
Outside the therapy room, I'm a published author of The Adventures of Kevin and Friends, a children's mental health book series designed to help families talk openly about emotions like anxiety, depression, and bullying. I'm also the creator of PsychLife on Instagram, where I've spent years making psychology accessible to people who never thought therapy was "for them," and the founder of MindfulPractice, an upcoming mental health app rooted in CBT, ACT, and mindfulness. Everything I do comes back to one mission: making mental health real, relatable, and within reach. You don't have to figure it out alone. Be the artist of your own life.
Hi, I'm Kelly , and I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida since 1999. I also have 20 years teaching experience at Palm Beach State College in psychology. My journey into therapy began with a desire to help the hurting individuals I worked with in a group home, and a genuine passion for helping others find strength through life’s most difficult moments. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people facing a wide range of challenges—experiences that have shown me just how powerful and transformative therapy can be. These moments have only deepened my commitment to walking alongside others on their path to healing. I’m continually inspired by the belief that every person holds the capacity for growth, resilience, and change. We can change and heal. Sometimes we just need a little help along the way. I treat adults age 18 and up.
I am a 46 year old single father of two wonderful boys. I found my purpose as a therapist after years in the business world. Hello, I'm Moli and I'm passionate about helping clients overcome mental health concerns related to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and trauma. With a strength-based approach, I help empower my clients to discover and utilize their inherent strengths to help overcome life's challenges. I aim to create a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, while tailoring my therapeutic interventions to meet the specific needs and goals of each client.
I’m Joseph Contes, but many call me “Joe”, and if you want you can too. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified Supervisor, and founder of Crosscurrent Health. My approach to therapy is grounded, thoughtful, and collaborative, with a focus on helping people feel understood while building practical tools for lasting change. I work with children ages 8 and up, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, identity development, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
Over the years, I have worked across a wide range of clinical settings including crisis services, emergency psychiatry, community mental health, correctional environments, and higher education. Those experiences have shaped the way I approach therapy today: calm, adaptable, and centered on meeting people where they are without judgment. I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I believe therapy works best when it feels like a steady, genuine partnership rather than a one-size-fits-all process.
My work integrates evidence-based approaches including CBT, CPT, TF-CBT, and family-focused interventions while remaining flexible to each person’s needs, strengths, and goals. I also provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care and strive to create a space where clients feel emotionally safe, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences openly.
At the heart of my work is the belief that growth happens when clarity meets support. Whether someone is working through past experiences, managing current stressors, or trying to reconnect with themselves and others, my goal is to help them move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and steadiness through life’s crosscurrents.
Struggling with stress, anxiety, trauma, feeling stuck, or low self-esteem? I’m here to help. As an experienced therapist, I offer evidence-based, person-centered therapy to guide you toward balance and growth. Whether you’re facing career or relationship challenges, or seeking faith-based therapy, we’ll work together to create a personalized path forward.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, I received my Master's degree from Florida Atlantic University, and I have been practicing for about 5 years. I help adults with a variety of concerns, from simply becoming a better and more effective version of themselves to struggling with mood or anxiety disorders, substance use or addiction, relational and attachment conflict, or educational and career stressors. I'll meet you where you are and we we can agree on your treatment goals based on what prompted you to seek therapy. We'll then focus on one issue (or more, related issues) at a time to promote your growth to the best version of yourself, over time.
Perhaps you are here because you are contemplating whether to start therapy. You might be feeling that change is needed in your life and that you are ready for it. You have already taken the first step in your journey by exploring the possibility of professional guidance. By the Sea Therapy can partner with you to find the solution that you’ve been seeking. We view the beginning of therapy as a tabula rasa; a blank page where together, we write a new chapter in your life. The past may be read and understood while the future is yet to be written. We look to establish a partnership with you which will open the door to self-empowerment and fulfillment. Today, take the next step in your journey and call to start the healing process.
Hi! I'm Femina Patel, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I believe that the best way to empower individuals is through counseling. I specialize in providing counseling services to individuals and families.
My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
I have much experience in helping individuals improve their mental health. I have worked within many community mental health agency settings and am familiar with clients that have a range of diagnoses from anxiety/depression to SPMI(Serious and persistent mental illness).
I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment for my clients to share their thoughts and feelings so they can discover their strengths and learn the skills necessary to overcome their challenges. With my help, you can achieve the mental and emotional well-being you need to reach your goals and lead a happy and fulfilling life.
***If you are seeking services for a minor a consultation with me is required to move forward with an intake appointment.***
I am a qualified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC). I help clients determine whether their loved one might have a pathological condition, to understand what that means, how to avoid such relationships in the future, reduce their internal conflict, and determine whether they want to end the relationship or manage it.
Often, my clients have a relationship with a person who has no diagnosable condition, yet the relationship would be considered "toxic" in that it repeatedly causes my client emotional distress. I am excited to provide perspectives and strategies to assist.
I grew up in Florida and graduated from FSU with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work. I began my career in a county jail mental health unit, where I became proficient in crisis intervention, assessments, and group therapy. Since then, I have worked at an air force base, offering therapy to individuals and families, as well as a substance/mental health rehab program for the Veteran's Administration. I have also volunteered with survivors of gun violence who are grieving and/or coping with trauma.
I love being a therapist! It’s humbling to be a part of my clients’ lives as they heal, grow, and go after their goals.
My approach to therapy is solution-focused, compassionate, and centered on helping clients build lasting skills. Rather than simply helping someone get through the current crisis, I want to equip them with the tools they need to navigate future challenges with greater confidence and independence.
I focus on identifying and addressing the underlying issues that drive recurring patterns, whether that's unresolved childhood trauma, deeply held negative beliefs about oneself, or other core experiences. My goal is to help clients process those experiences, challenge unhelpful cognitions, and develop healthier, more adaptive beliefs about themselves.
While it's important to acknowledge and address what's happening in a client's life right now, I believe lasting change comes from understanding and working through the deeper patterns that contribute to those challenges. I strive to balance supporting clients through present-day concerns with helping them create meaningful, long-term change.
As a therapist, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and practical space where clients can explore what they are experiencing, better understand their thoughts and emotions, and develop healthier ways of coping, communicating, and making decisions. I work with clients facing anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, grief, family concerns, and personal growth issues.
My approach is compassionate, structured, and collaborative. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, strengths-based counseling, psychoeducation, and relationship-centered approaches to help clients gain insight and apply practical tools in their everyday lives.
At the heart of my work is the belief that people can heal, grow, and build more meaningful lives and relationships when they are given the right support, guidance, and encouragement.
