With a deep passion for breaking the stigma surrounding addiction and mental health, I have dedicated the last nine years to assisting individuals who grapple with the complex interplay of mental health issues and underlying substance abuse. I’ve witnessed how the societal stigma often conceals the very real barriers individuals face in their daily lives. My mission is to empower them with coping skills and strategies that allow them to embrace a life of recovery and resilience. As a therapist, I focus on guiding patients towards building essential skills to overcome their challenges. I believe that mental health issues come in myriad forms, and it is our duty to provide support, unburdened by negative stereotypes and judgment. Together, let’s shatter the silence and create a path towards hope, recovery and well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session will consist of building rapport (getting to know each other) and discuss the circumstances leading to seeking treatment services. The goal will be to determine if it is a good match and what treatment will look like in the future.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a provider is my own life circumstances that brought me to the field. I am in recovery from addiction and alcoholism and utilize self disclosure to empower clients to overcome their own issues.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in various domains, including trauma (with EMDR), addiction, mental health, couples, and family therapy. My journey into the field of social work was driven by a personal commitment to reform a system that I myself navigated while overcoming my own challenges with addiction and mental health.

The idea of therapy was very daunting to me, as someone who just had rough experiences when they were younger. Sam was recommended to me and I felt confident off his profile alone and hoped for the best. Our first meeting we did our introductions and talked about music amongst a lot of other things. Sam's a funny, kind hearted guy who has come really far himself, and I'm very appreciative to have him as my therapist. He feels like a buddy I'd hang with in real life, and I always enjoy our talks!
