I’m an attachment-based therapist, which means I believe that relationships—past and present—shape how we see ourselves and others. Whether you're an adolescent navigating the complexity of growing up, or an adult facing life’s challenges, I’m here to support you in understanding your experiences and how they’ve shaped your emotional world. I take a holistic approach to therapy, honoring the spiritual aspects of life while also grounding our work in compassion and connection. I understand that everyone’s story is unique, and I bring cultural sensitivity to my work to ensure that your background, identity, and lived experience are respected in our sessions. If you're dealing with anxiety, grief, trauma, or any other emotional or life challenge, I’ll work with you to unpack those feelings in a safe, supportive space. I use a blend of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic therapy and EMDR, tailored to what’s most helpful for you. Our work together is rooted in creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful changes. My goal is simple: to help you explore your emotions, gain insight into what’s going on inside, and discover or rediscover your strengths. I want you to walk away from each session feeling a little more grounded, a little more whole, and confident in your ability to heal and grow. I work well with people who are ready to do the work—whether that’s unpacking painful past experiences or making sense of current struggles. You might be someone who is struggling with anxiety, grief, loss, or the effects of trauma. You might be looking for clarity in your relationships, or searching for more self-understanding and self-worth. Whatever you’re going through, I’m here to help guide you through it with care, respect, and patience.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, my goal is to start building a trusting, supportive relationship where you feel comfortable and understood. We'll take time together to explore your history and what’s brought you to therapy, so I can get a better sense of what you’re experiencing. You’ll also have the chance to ask me any questions, share what’s on your mind, and identify any specific goals you'd like to work on moving forward. This is your space, and together we’ll shape it to meet your needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My training and life experiences have deepened my understanding of the many ways people experience suffering. I bring a strong sense of empathy, guided by my values, ethics, and spirituality, into every session. My approach to therapy is relational, meaning I believe that the connection we build is a key part of healing. I’m committed to working with your strengths and what’s already working in your life, so you can feel empowered throughout our work together. I use an eclectic mix of approaches, including EMDR and psychodynamic strategies, to tailor our work to what best fits your needs. Together, we’ll explore different ways to help you move forward with greater insight and healing. I work with individuals healing from childhood trauma, including adult children of alcoholics. I provide a supportive, steady space to explore long-standing patterns, set healthy boundaries, build self-trust, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I love working with adolescents and adults who are hungry for change but feel like they don’t yet have the tools to make it happen. My clients are people who are ready to face the hard work of self-reflection and are willing to look at themselves honestly in the therapeutic process. They’re not afraid to acknowledge where they are right now, and they’re open to exploring new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating to themselves and others. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’m here to help you find the tools you need to create meaningful change.
Eclectic
I provide person-centered care that’s tailored to meet your unique needs. My approach is relational and supportive, meaning we’ll work together to find what feels right for you. I draw from an attachment-based framework, which helps us explore how your relationships—past and present—have shaped your experiences. I also incorporate a variety of techniques, including EMDR, somatic practices, cognitive strategies, and psychodynamic approaches, to help you move forward in a way that honors your individual journey.
