Welcome! I'm a licensed Christian therapist dedicated to helping adults find healing, hope, and lasting change. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and the lasting effects of attachment wounds. My approach integrates evidence-based, trauma-informed therapies with a Christian worldview for clients who desire faith to be part of the healing process. I believe healing happens in the context of safe, authentic relationships. Whether you're navigating painful life experiences, struggling with overwhelming emotions, or longing to deepen your relationship with God and others, I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can process your story, build resilience, and move toward the life God intends for you.
Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your personal history, and talk about your current challenges, strengths, and goals. This session also gives you the opportunity to ask questions about my approach and determine whether we're a good fit for working together. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and respected. Together, we'll begin developing a personalized treatment plan that reflects your unique needs and, if you desire, integrates your Christian faith into the therapeutic process. While meaningful healing takes time, you can expect to leave your first session with a clearer understanding of the therapy process and the next steps on your journey toward healing and growth.
My approach stands out because I view healing through both a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens, recognizing that our past experiences often shape how we relate to ourselves, others, and God. Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, I help clients uncover the root causes of their struggles so they can experience lasting healing and meaningful change. As a licensed Christian therapist, I thoughtfully integrate evidence-based approaches—including EMDR, when appropriate—with biblical principles for clients who desire faith to be part of the counseling process. I believe therapy should be a collaborative, compassionate experience where you feel safe to be fully known without fear of judgment. My goal is to help you heal from trauma, navigate grief and loss, reduce anxiety, strengthen your relationships, and move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and hope.
My ideal clients are adults who are ready to better understand themselves, heal from past wounds, and create healthier, more fulfilling lives. Many are struggling with the effects of trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, or attachment wounds that continue to impact their relationships, emotional well-being, and sense of self. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or weighed down by experiences they have never fully processed. Whether you're navigating a difficult life transition, recovering from painful relationships, or seeking deeper emotional and spiritual healing, I offer a compassionate and supportive space where you can feel safe to be vulnerable. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are motivated to engage in the healing process and are open to exploring the connections between their past experiences, present challenges, and future growth. For clients who desire it, I also integrate Christian faith into therapy, supporting healing that nurtures emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being.

As a licensed Christian counselor, I provide therapy that thoughtfully integrates clinical expertise with biblical truth for clients who desire a faith-based approach to healing. I recognize that emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being are deeply connected, and I strive to create a space where clients can explore their struggles through both evidence-based therapeutic practices and the lens of their Christian faith. With over seven years of experience working with adults, I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, and grief and loss. My approach is attachment-based, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based treatments, including EMDR when appropriate. Rather than replacing sound clinical care with spiritual guidance, I intentionally integrate prayer, Scripture, biblical principles, and discussions of faith as they align with each client's goals and comfort level. My desire is to help clients experience healing, strengthen their relationship with God, and develop the emotional resilience needed to live with greater peace, hope, and purpose.
My attachment-based approach is grounded in the understanding that our earliest relationships shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and respond to life's challenges. When those relationships are marked by inconsistency, neglect, loss, or trauma, they can leave lasting attachment wounds that contribute to anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, and emotional distress. My goal is to help clients understand these patterns with compassion rather than judgment and develop healthier ways of connecting with themselves and others. With over seven years of experience working with adults, I integrate attachment theory with evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR when appropriate, to address the root causes of emotional pain—not just the symptoms. I provide a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship where clients can explore past experiences, process unresolved wounds, and build greater emotional security, resilience, and healthier relationships. I believe that healing happens within the context of safe relationships, and together we work toward creating lasting change that extends beyond the therapy room.
s an EMDR-trained therapist, I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients heal from the lasting effects of trauma and other distressing life experiences. EMDR is an evidence-based treatment that helps the brain process unresolved memories so they become less emotionally overwhelming, allowing clients to experience relief from symptoms such as anxiety, fear, shame, and emotional distress. My approach to EMDR is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and tailored to each client's unique needs and readiness. I believe healing begins with establishing safety and developing effective coping skills before processing traumatic memories. Throughout the EMDR process, I work collaboratively with clients to ensure they feel supported, empowered, and in control. Whether you're healing from childhood attachment wounds, a single traumatic event, or ongoing adverse experiences, EMDR can help reduce emotional distress, strengthen resilience, and create space for lasting healing and healthier relationships.
I believe effective therapy begins with honoring each client's unique cultural identity, lived experiences, values, and worldview. My culturally sensitive approach recognizes that factors such as race, ethnicity, faith, family background, gender, socioeconomic experiences, and other aspects of identity can influence how individuals experience stress, relationships, trauma, grief, and healing. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and affirming environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are.

I booked sessions with 4 different Grow therapists so that I could select the right person for the specific help I need now. After one hour, it was obvious that Latonia was right for me. She is intelligent, a thoughtful person who asks great questions, allowing her to diagnose/reveal what she sees as the core issue & patterns that therapy can help me with. She is a quick study, authentically empathetic, has a healthy sense of humor, and transmits warmth, even in a virtual format like this. Bravo
