New to Grow
Hi, I'm so glad you're here. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to figure things out on your own. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to have it all together. With over 14 years of experience, I work with adolescents, college students, and adults navigating anxiety, eating disorders, life transitions, identity, relationships, and the unique challenges that come with being an athlete. As an LGBTQ+ identifying therapist, I'm committed to creating an affirming, inclusive space where you feel seen, respected, and supported. I take a warm, collaborative, and holistic approach to therapy, blending evidence-based practices with an understanding of how our mental, emotional, and physical well-being are all connected. When it fits your goals, I also incorporate an integrative nutrition perspective to support your overall wellness. Outside the therapy room, you'll usually find me running, dancing, or horseback riding. As an athlete myself, I understand the highs, lows, and pressures that can come with performance, balance, and caring for both your mind and body. I believe therapy is about more than getting through hard moments—it's about building a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and sustainable. Wherever you are in your journey, you don't have to walk it alone. I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
Your first session is all about getting to know you. We'll spend time talking about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You'll have the opportunity to share your story at your own pace—there's no pressure to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. We'll also discuss your goals, answer any questions you have about the therapy process, and start creating a plan that feels personalized to your needs. Most importantly, my goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful, knowing you don't have to navigate this journey alone.
I believe the best therapy happens when you feel safe enough to be yourself. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and understood, while also helping you move toward meaningful change. I bring warmth, curiosity, humor (when it fits), and authenticity into our work together, because I believe healing happens through connection as much as it does through clinical expertise. What makes my sessions unique is that I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I take the time to get to know you as a whole person—not just your symptoms. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck while also building practical tools you can use in everyday life. Drawing from over 14 years of experience, I tailor each session to your needs, integrating evidence-based therapy with a holistic perspective that recognizes the connection between your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. When it's helpful, I also incorporate an integrative nutrition lens to support overall wellness. I understand that our identities, relationships, experiences, and environments all shape how we move through the world. No matter what you are exploring or facing, you'll find I am engaged, collaborative, and invested in helping you reach your goals. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can exhale, be challenged in supportive ways, celebrate your wins, and leave each session with greater clarity, confidence, and practical tools you can carry into your daily life. My hope is that you'll not only feel better—but feel more connected to yourself and empowered to move forward.
My ideal clients are adolescents, college students, young adults, and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and create lasting change. They may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling with an eating disorder or body image concerns, navigating life transitions, managing the pressures of academics or athletics, or trying to balance the many expectations placed on them. Some are exploring their identity, building healthier relationships, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of their next step. Many of the people I work with are high-achieving, compassionate, and motivated, but they often hold themselves to incredibly high standards. They're looking for more than a place to vent—they want practical tools, deeper insight, and a therapist who will help them connect the dots between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and overall well-being. My clients value a collaborative, personalized approach to therapy. They want a space where they can be authentic, feel genuinely understood, and be gently challenged to grow. Together, we focus on building resilience, strengthening self-compassion, and creating sustainable changes that support both mental and physical wellness. Whether you're seeking support through a difficult season or looking to better understand yourself, therapy can be a place to reconnect with your strengths and move forward with greater confidence.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a practical, skills-based approach that helps people better manage overwhelming emotions, cope with stress, improve relationships, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. In my practice, I use DBT techniques alongside other evidence-based approaches to help clients build emotional resilience, increase self-awareness, and develop tools they can use in everyday life.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and teaches practical strategies to break unhelpful patterns. In my practice, I use CBT to help clients challenge negative thinking, develop healthier coping skills, and create lasting changes that support their emotional well-being and everyday life.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you learn how to accept difficult thoughts and emotions without letting them control your life, while focusing on what matters most to you. In my practice, I use ACT to help clients build psychological flexibility, connect with their values, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want to live—even when challenges arise.
Gender-affirming therapy provides a supportive, inclusive space to explore your gender identity, express yourself authentically, and navigate life's challenges without judgment. In my practice, I tailor therapy to your unique experiences, helping you build self-confidence, process emotions, strengthen relationships, and feel empowered to live in a way that aligns with who you are.
Forensic psychology explores the connection between mental health, behavior, and the legal system, helping individuals understand the impact of their experiences, choices, and circumstances. In my practice, I draw from over 10 years of experience in forensic social work to provide a deeper understanding of complex life situations, trauma, behavioral patterns, and the systems that influence people's lives. My forensic background allows me to bring a unique perspective to therapy, especially when working with individuals navigating legal involvement, high-conflict situations, trauma, family challenges, or major life transitions. I use this experience to help clients build insight, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen decision-making skills, and create meaningful change while focusing on their strengths and potential for growth.
