If you need therapy for court, I may not be a good fit for you. I will not be providing session notes to the court on your behalf. Also depending on what the nature of court is/why you need treatment, may not go beyond the initial assessment/first visit. If I do not feel comfortable with the reason, nature of court or any of anything along those lines; I will not be moving forward. I feel that I need to be direct with this as I have already provided previously "if you are seeking services for court; I would NOT be able to help with that. Please find another provider." Yet I am still receiving these referrals; therefore I am being direct about this and what expectations are.
My journey to mental healthcare
I did a lot of volunteer work and held a few AmeriCorps positions (America's version of PeaceCorps). I fell in love with helping people and I was told in order to achieve this, I would need to go back to school and complete my MSW.
I am honored to be on this journey with you in therapy. I am a therapist who believes that healing begins with feeling seen, safe, and understood. My approach is gentle, compassionate, and grounded in curiosity--never judgment. I create a space where you can slow down, breathe, and explore what's been heavy at your own pace. Whether you're navigating past trauma, burnout, or a season of change, my goal is to help you reconnect with your sense of self and feel more at peace within. In our work together, you'll find warmth, understanding, and a space that honors your story.
From working in East LA with 0-5 population to working with adults in the military and kids/teens in San Diego, I have had the privilege of walking alongside so many individuals and families in every facet of life. Every individual deserves to be genuinely heard, understood, and valued. When we face uncertainty in our relationships—whether with people, places, or things—it can trigger memories of feeling lost, unsure, and emotionally isolated. These feelings can easily lead to feeling stuck.
We accomplish this through a relational process in which I help you identify the thoughts and feelings that need care, not shame, so that we can prevent shaming thoughts, feelings, and experiences from impeding your life's progress. I want you to know that I aim to help you recognize where advancement and safety are found and to bring them within your reach.
I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families to cultivate meaningful connections by addressing attachment injuries that can be difficult to confront alone. Together, we will identify what is getting in the way of meaningful connection and what can be repaired, and we will take time to grieve what you choose to let go of.
I emphasize the importance of building relationships and clarifying implicit feelings to create open communication. This transforms unacknowledged emotions into clear conversations and deepens relationship connections in ways that allow one to feel truly understood.
Our journey together will be healing and reconnecting, fostering hope and envisioning a brighter future. My approach fosters a supportive environment where you can express your true self without fear. In this environment, you feel safe and empowered to be understood as you learn to value your true self and allow more of you to be seen.

My name is Judy Jordan and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with over 20 years years of professional experience in counseling with children,, adults, and families. I took an evening course in Psychology 5 when starting school, and by the end of it , I knew I wanted to become a therapist. About
Are you feeling unfulfilled in your relationships, choices, and just life? Those who feel detached from those around them often believe they're a burden and bring no value to those around them. If any of that resonated with you, you may feel disconnected from different areas of your life, such as work, relationships, family, and interests. Many individuals go through life never feeling like they belong and lack fulfillment, joy, and a sense of identity. You're here looking to finally put yourself first, to find a sense of satisfaction in your life, and I'd love to be part of that journey so you no longer feel alone.
I take great pride in helping individuals find their sense of belonging and overcoming deep negative schemas that they aren't worthy of love. I do this by helping you work through those fears of abandonment, criticism, and rejection. Forming healthy relationships and attachments are instrumental in my approach, and you'll never feel alone.
Life is challenging, and it's an even bigger struggle when we are our worst enemies. You may feel like a burden to those around you, but you won't have to feel that way in our therapeutic relationship. If you are a client of Kaiser Permanente, it is necessary to obtain a referral from Kaiser before proceeding. Once you have received the referral, Kaiser will provide you with a link to schedule a session with me. Many people live with anxiety without realizing how deeply it affects their relationships, decision-making, and overall quality of life. If you find yourself feeling constantly on edge, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted, you’re not alone—and support can make a meaningful difference.
Depression is not always obvious or dramatic; it often shows up as fatigue, irritability, disconnection, or a loss of motivation. It is one of the most common and misunderstood struggles people face today, yet it is also highly treatable. With the right support, individuals can regain clarity, emotional balance, and a stronger sense of control over their lives.
