Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First session will be getting to know you, understanding your background and history. We can go as far back as you want or just focus on current issue. I believe in allowing the client to set the pace and direction, while encouraging small measurable goals along the way.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I've been licensed since 2015 and have helped many people from many different backgrounds. I believe love is love, no human is illegal and am a proud LGBTQ+ ally. I stand out because I am direct and solution-focused. I myself, have overcome mental health issues, an eating disorder, substance abuse and grief. I will be working with you on a human, equal basis. There is not expert or hierarchy. I believe everyone carries their own answers and my job is to provide feedback and highlight barriers as well as victories.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am suited best for open-minded individuals who are ready to get to work. I am not the person who will sit and listen with a neutral, "how does that make you feel". I am solution-focused which means I want to help increase the satisfaction of your life ASAP. I do not believe in homework but will encourage journaling in between sessions.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

After years working in residential treatment I find the most efficient therapy to be focused on solutions after background information is gathered. I believe in actively using mindfulness and neuroscience to improve ones quality of life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Bringing awareness to ones thoughts better creates the ability to be present. I find this practice dramatically improves individual perceptions and enables the stopping of negative thought patterns.

Attachment-based

From the beginning of our lives, our relationships influence our ability and challenges in attaching to others. By examining current attachments we can better understand origins and how to move forward for the maximum level of satisfaction with our relationships.
