LMFT, 13 years of experience
Hi. I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I have years of experience working with clients in a psychiatric hospital setting as well as substance abuse outpatient treatment facility. I have worked with children, teens, and adults. I have worked with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, adjusting to new environments/life changes, and those working on their sobriety.
I like to focus on setting goals in our first session. I feel it's important to meet my clients where they are at and make goal setting a simple approach. I want our first session to be comfortable for my client.
I'm able to create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where my clients feel heard and understood. I'm able to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each client while providing active listening, and problem solving abilities.
The clients I am best positioned to serve are individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I work particularly well with adults and young professionals who are seeking a supportive space to explore their thoughts, build resilience, and develop healthier coping strategies. My approach is collaborative and tailored, making it well-suited for clients who appreciate practical tools, self-reflection, and a compassionate, non-judgmental environment.

Paul has been a wonderful asset in my growth journey. As I am dealing with situations that strike anxiety into me, Paul has always been happy to allow me to express how I am feeling in a way that I feel comfortable with. He allows me to control the direction of my sessions while still serving as an advocate for my emotions and my needs, challenging them when appropriate, but validating them every step of the way. I really have enjoyed Paul's guidance, and would happily recommend him!

I always feel inspired after my sessions with Paul. Very happy that I took the step to start therapy.
I'll explore with my clients how how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors affect one another. By targeting irrational or maladaptive thoughts, mood and behavior can be improved.
