LCSW, 8 years of experience
Hello! I am an LCSW and EMDR trained therapist, specializing in complex trauma, substance use/dual diagnoses, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, and life changes. My background is rooted in trauma-informed care, with over 8 years of experience supporting clients through life’s most challenging moments. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck in cycles that no longer serve them, or unsure how to navigate painful memories and emotional triggers. Together, we’ll identify the patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that have kept you from feeling whole, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
My sessions are judgment-free and client-centered, meeting you exactly where you are and empowering you to take steps at your own pace. I’m committed to making therapy feel like a place you want to show up. I am here to provide structure, support, and safety as you explore difficult emotions and reclaim your voice. Our first session will be an opportunity to get to know each other and make sure that you feel that I am the right fit for you. This includes starting to learn your history, your concerns, and what you hope to get out of therapy. In addition, this is a time for you to ask any questions you may have.
Our work together is a collaborative process. Therapy with me is a space where you can speak your truth without fear of being minimized or judged. My goal is to help you build insight, regulate your nervous system, and strengthen your capacity for connection and self-trust.
I specialize in dual diagnosis, trauma, and mood disorders. I work with adults ages 18 and older.
I have utilized CBT throughout my career as a social worker, whether it be out in the community, in a hospital setting, or private practice. I use this method by helping clients see and understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all intertwine, in both healthy and unhealthy ways.
I am an EMDR trained therapist and love utilizing this method to help clients with trauma and helping traumatic memories become "unstuck" in ones brain so a person can fully process and live a healthy life.
ACT is an important method to help clients accept feelings and emotions, recognize what is in their control and become more empowered through their internal being.
Mindfulness is a great technique that I like to pair with all different methods to help clients become grounded, present, and in the moment. I find body scans, meditations, and grounding techniques useful with client who struggle with anxiety, stress, depression and feelings of being overwhelmed.
I have a lot of experience working in crises settings, including in the community and in the hospital. I find that solution focused therapy can be very helpful for individuals struggling with depression and anxiety, as it can allow us to work together to set obtainable goals and feel productive and successful.
