LCSW, 11 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a therapist with over 10 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am passionate about supporting clients in becoming their best selves while addressing the obstacles that stand in their way. My approach is collaborative and client-centered—I believe you are in the driver’s seat of your own healing journey. Together, we’ll identify your goals and develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. My practice primarily draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), evidence-based methods that provide practical tools for managing emotions, improving relationships, and fostering personal growth. Whether you’re seeking relief from overwhelming emotions, healing from past experiences, or simply striving to live a more balanced life, therapy can be a powerful step forward. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel heard, empowered, and equipped to make meaningful change.
I believe direct, empathetic, and compassionate communication is essential to building a strong therapeutic alliance. Our first session will be focused on getting to know each other and understand each others style to set the ground work for our therapeutic relationship.
I have worked with individuals from all walks of life and am able to talk about hard issues without judgment. I communicate directly providing feedback while keeping your strengths at the center. Therapy is about you and meeting you where you are at. I love to help people overcome obstacles and create the life they envision for themselves.
Individual therapy services are designed to help you overcome personal challenges and achieve your goals. I work to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behavior, and develop strategies for positive change. Adolescent therapy services are designed to help young people overcome a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and more. I use evidence-based techniques to help teens develop coping skills, improve self-esteem, and achieve greater success in school and other areas of life. Parent Coaching: Connecting with your teen can be difficult for any parent. I collaborate with parents to better understand their adolescents' perspective and teach parents communication and regulation skills in order to assist in improved communication and strengthen the dynamic between parents and their child.
I have been extensively trained in DBT since becoming a therapist and it continues to be my method of choice. Most people looking for change are looking for relief from overwhelming emotions and many of the skills help provide that. I have experience working with individuals struggling with various self-harming behaviors, suicidality, and other maladaptive behaviors.
I have received extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Many individuals seeking change are working to heal from painful or distressing life experiences, and TF-CBT offers practical tools to process trauma safely while building resilience. I have experience supporting clients coping with the lasting impact of trauma, including symptoms of anxiety, depression, dissociation, and other trauma-related behaviors, helping them regain a sense of safety, empowerment, and emotional stability.
I incorporate psychoeducation as a core component of my therapeutic approach, believing that knowledge is a powerful tool for healing. By helping clients understand how their brain, body, and emotions interact, they can begin to make sense of their experiences and feel more empowered in their recovery. I provide education on topics such as emotional regulation, trauma responses, stress, and communication patterns, tailoring each session to meet the client’s needs. My goal is to create an environment where clients feel informed, supported, and confident in applying what they learn both in and outside of therapy.
I utilize Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) to help clients gradually confront and process trauma-related memories, emotions, and situations that have become sources of distress. Through structured and compassionate guidance, clients learn that while trauma can shape their experiences, it does not have to define their lives. By working through avoidance and building tolerance for difficult emotions, PE empowers individuals to regain a sense of control, reduce fear responses, and move toward healing with greater confidence and resilience.
I ground my work in the principles of Trauma-Informed Care, recognizing that trauma can deeply influence how individuals think, feel, and interact with the world. My approach prioritizes safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and respect for each client’s lived experience. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel understood and in control of their healing process. By integrating awareness of trauma’s impact into every aspect of treatment, I help clients build resilience, restore a sense of safety, and reconnect with their strengths.
