New to Grow
Hi, I’m Alli, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Perinatal Mental Health Certified Therapist who is passionate about supporting moms, parents, and individuals working through big life transitions. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are and feel truly heard. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in helping you build practical tools to navigate life’s stressors while reconnecting with who you are and who you’re becoming. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as we work toward relief, healing, and a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
During our first session, you can expect a comfortable, relaxed conversation where we get to know each other and explore what led you to therapy. We'll talk about your goals, what’s been feeling heavy or overwhelming, and what you hope will be different moving forward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once, we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you. My role is to listen, support, and help you start feeling a sense of relief and hope as we begin your healing journey together.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and the belief that you don’t have to face life’s hardest moments alone. I blend evidence-based tools with a very real, down-to-earth style; therapy with me feels like a supportive conversation where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of the life you want, and I’ll help you build practical coping strategies you can rely on when things feel overwhelming in the moment, not just later in reflection. I specialize in supporting women and mothers who are juggling an incredible amount of emotional, mental, and physical load. Especially when past experiences, perfectionism, or anxiety make everyday challenges feel heavier. I provide a space where you can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with your strengths so you can move forward with more confidence, clarity, and self-compassion. When we work together, I’m not just focused on reducing symptoms, I’m focused on helping you feel more like yourself again and creating a life that feels meaningful, manageable, and truly yours.
I am especially passionate about supporting adults, new and expecting moms, and anyone navigating major life changes or identity shifts. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from themselves; even when they’re doing “all the right things.” I help clients who are ready to feel more grounded, rebuild confidence, strengthen boundaries, and develop healthier ways to cope with stress. Whether you’re managing motherhood, relationship challenges, burnout, or the weight of past experiences showing up in the present, you do not have to go through it alone. I’m here to help you feel supported, understood, and equipped with tools to move forward.
I have extensive training and clinical experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and perinatal mental health concerns. Through a collaborative and structured approach, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, behaviors, and core beliefs that contribute to emotional distress. I integrate strategies such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, exposure-based interventions, and problem-solving skills to reduce symptoms and improve daily functioning. With perinatal clients specifically, I use CBT to address intrusive thoughts, excessive worry, and the pressures and mental load of motherhood. I tailor CBT techniques to each client’s unique needs, making the treatment both practical and empowering.
I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in improving emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness skills. DBT is especially helpful for those experiencing intense emotions, trauma-related symptoms, anxiety, and challenges with self-compassion or boundaries. I take a strengths-based and skills-focused approach, helping clients integrate practical strategies they can use both in and outside of sessions. With perinatal clients, I often incorporate DBT to reduce overwhelm, cope with intrusive thoughts, manage identity shifts, and build healthier communication patterns. I tailor DBT techniques to each person’s goals and lived experiences, balancing validation with structured change to support long-term growth.
I incorporate Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients increase present-moment awareness, reduce rumination, and build a more compassionate relationship with their thoughts and emotions. This approach is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma-related symptoms, and the emotional intensity that often accompanies the perinatal period. I teach grounding techniques, breathwork, and mindful coping strategies that clients can use in everyday moments to interrupt automatic patterns of overwhelm. With new and expecting mothers, mindfulness helps foster connection, reduce self-judgment, and support emotional regulation during major life transitions. I adapt mindfulness practices to meet each client where they are, making the skills accessible, realistic, and relevant to their daily lives.
