With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about supporting adults and couples as they navigate life’s transitions and pursue meaningful growth. Whether you are a college student or recent graduate adjusting to a new season of life, an individual facing anxiety or depression, or a couple preparing for marriage or working to strengthen your relationship, I strive to provide guidance that feels both supportive and practical. My Christian faith shapes my personal values; however, I work with people from all backgrounds and beliefs. Faith-based perspectives are incorporated into counseling only if a client specifically desires it. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Life transitions—whether expected or unexpected—can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and work toward the emotional and personal goals that matter most to you. I have experience working with adults experiencing life changes, including college and post-college transitions, relationship challenges, marriage and premarital preparation, and parenting. I also support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and stress that often accompany these seasons of change. My background as a behavioral specialist in community mental health allows me to effectively support adults diagnosed with ADHD or autism spectrum disorder, as well as parents raising children with these diagnoses. In my work with couples, I draw from my experience as a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator to help partners strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and build healthier, more connected relationships. When working with individuals, I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My focus is on equipping you with practical tools and strategies so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience.

Are you fighting anxiety, depression, profound life transitions like grief and loss, career shifts, addiction, or a newly diagnosed chronic/autoimmune medical condition? Hi, I'm Raisa, an LCSW and VCU graduate specializing in anxiety, depressive disorders, and the mental impact of medical trauma. Having survived trauma in early life and personally navigating an autoimmune condition requiring chemically and biologically invasive treatments as an adult; I hold a deep, non-judgmental understanding of the profound toll chronic illness takes on your life and identity. I value the power of resilience and adaptation in humans. This lived experience equips me to help you process medical trauma holistically. I provide warm, humanistic, virtual-only therapy tailored entirely to your unique story. As a South Asian person of color, I am verbally fluent in my native language, Bangla/Bengali, as well as Hindi, and some knowledge of Urdu. This background gives me deep insight into the unique cultural intersections that Asians can face in the Western world. Additionally, my professional background includes over 4.5 years of working in a jail, heavily highlighting my crisis intervention and suicidal/homicidal risk assessment skills while working directly with substance use and personality disorders. By combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Dr. Kabat-Zinn's mindfulness models (MBSR/MBCT), we will unpack your experiences in partnership. My clinical approach prioritizes a strongly holistic treatment plan across all 4 Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual domains of life, adapted to your diagnoses. If desired, this is an opportunity to hone your spiritual practice and discipline—intentionally refining, practicing, and sharpening your daily habits to connect with something larger than yourself. Together, we'll meet your needs, wants, and goals, by building practical tools to reclaim your peace, regain control, and thrive. Hello! I'm La-Retha Brown, LPC, and I'm glad you're here. Seeking therapy is a courageous first step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward the life you want. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, stress, trauma, self-esteem concerns, and difficulties managing emotions. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful goals that align with your values. I am an AK amputee, a person with a disability, a disabled person, a one-legged person, or as medical folks will say a person with a "residual limb" (I have never heard an amputee call their stump a residual limb). If you have been looking for a therapist and you see the photo they choose to put on their page, how many put their disability in their photo? That choice says something. I am also a psychotherapist with 50 years experience of providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and families. My identity shifted 10 years ago when my right leg was amputated above the knee (AK). The identity as a disabled person is not a sought after identity. In many ways being disabled sucks big time. Providing telehealth services would be one way for me to "hide" my disability. Just never point the camera toward my leg. I don't like my experience of me just walking into a room and my leg has already introduced me long before I say my name. I am looking for clients that are disabled in some way and want to work on not letting that "disability label " suck your lifeblood away.

Hello, My name is Keith, I have been working with youth and adolescents in the mental health field for about thirteen years. I have worked with young people suffering from traumatic experiences (PTSD), to include physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. I have assisted young people with symptoms associated with depression and anxiety. Also, I have experience in assisting young people with self-esteem/self-worth issues. I have helped young people who are suicidal and with individuals suffering from psychotic disorders. Further, I have assisted young people with tension within the home setting and ways he or she can navigate these feelings in a healthy manner. Personally, I have two daughters that are my world and a very spoiled elderly dog. I enjoy sports, working out, and being outdoors. I have been described as very easy going and easy to talk to. In my practice, the client comes first, and the conversation goes where he or she would like it to.

Hello, My name is Tierra Evans. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor and Mental Health Clinician. I have been a licensed Social Worker for nine years and counting. I am a Texas native and have traveled extensively. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic modalities. My passion is to nurture and cultivate positive energy and high vibrations throughout my life journey. Services are provided within a short-term, goal-oriented framework. Treatment typically consists of 6–8 sessions. Progress is formally reviewed around session six, at which point the client and therapist mutually determine whether to conclude services, extend treatment for an additional time-limited phase, or pursue other appropriate options.

Hi, I’m Joe. I’ve worked in the mental health field for 27 years across substance use treatment, outpatient care, and hospital settings. I’ve supported individuals and families through crisis, transition, and long-term growth. I work well with young adults, adults, and families who are navigating stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, or major life changes. I also have extensive experience working with men who may struggle to express emotions directly and instead feel stuck in withdrawal, irritability, or self-doubt. As a veteran, I understand the mindset and pressures that can come with military life. Across all of my work, I aim to provide a grounded, steady presence where honesty, insight, and meaningful change can take place.

Your brain is basically that one friend who means well but gives terrible advice. It jumps to conclusions, expects the worst, overthinks everything, and somehow expects you to believe every word it says. The good news? You don't have to let it call the shots. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia who works with adults (18+) navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, grief, and life transitions. I also specialize in working with active-duty military, veterans, and first responders, and in the unique demands of their careers. My style is warm, honest, interactive, and a little sarcastic when the moment calls for it. I'll listen without judgment, but I won't just nod along. I'll challenge you, teach you, and give you practical tools you can actually use. I believe therapy should help you understand your mind, build confidence, and leave you with the skills to manage life long after our work together ends. I love making psychology make sense. My goal is to take complex concepts, break them down into practical, relatable ideas, and help you become the expert on your own mind. If you're ready for real conversations, a few laughs, and meaningful change, I'd love to help.

If years of therapy, medication, books, and coping skills haven't created the change you're looking for, it may be because you've been treating the symptoms instead of the patterns producing them. Many of my clients come to me feeling frustrated, wondering why they understand their struggles yet continue to repeat the same thoughts, emotional reactions, relationship dynamics, or behaviors. My approach focuses on identifying and disrupting the developmental patterns driving those experiences by working with the brain and nervous system where they were formed and continue to be reinforced. Rather than teaching you how to better manage the same struggles, my goal is to help you create meaningful, lasting transformation so you can move forward with greater freedom, clarity, and confidence.
