(she/her)
Hello, I'm Katheryn! Maybe you're the one everyone leans on. You take care of your kids, your partner, your parents, your work, your home- and somewhere along the way, you stopped taking care of yourself. You may feel tired all the time, overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, or like you've lost pieces of who you are. Maybe motherhood feels harder than you expected. Maybe you're carrying grief, stress, or loneliness that no one really sees. Maybe your children are growing up and needing you less, and you're wondering what comes next for you. You don't have to hold all of that alone. I work with women who are going through life changes, stress, loss, and emotional overwhelm. Whether you are adjusting to motherhood, struggling with postpartum depression or anxiety, caring for aging parents, grieving an empty nest, or simply feeling stuck and exhausted, therapy can give you a place to breathe, process, and feel supported again.
This is a space where you can show up exactly as you are. There is no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and able to breathe a little easier. Together, we'll talk through what's been weighing on you, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and help you find healthier ways to cope, heal, and move forward. I'll support you with practical tools, encouragement, and compassion along the way. Therapy with me is warm, relaxed, and honest. You do not need to have the "right words" or have everything figured out before you start.
My clients often tell me they feel safe, understood, and less alone after our sessions. They describe me as calm, down-to-earth, caring, and easy to talk to.
Many of my clients are women who feel overwhelmed by motherhood, parenting, or the constant pressure of trying to hold everything together. Some are adjusting to pregnancy, postpartum changes, or the emotional ups and downs that can come with becoming a new mother. Others are caring for aging parents or loved ones while also trying to manage work, family life, and their own mental health. I also work with women who are struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, or the emotional exhaustion that comes from always being the "strong one" for everyone else. Some are moving through relationship changes, divorce, family conflict, or seasons of grief and loss. I also support young adults as they navigate life transitions, relationships, identity, purpose, and their place in the world. Many women come to therapy feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, stuck, or simply not like themselves anymore. Whatever season of life you're in, you deserve support too. I would be honored to walk with you on your journey.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of talk therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. By learning to spot unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with more balanced ones, you can improve how you feel and handle life's challenges more effectively.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy helps you learn to focus on the present moment in a calm and nonjudgmental way. It teaches you to notice your thoughts and feelings without getting caught up in them, so you can respond to stress and difficult emotions more calmly and clearly. Over time, this can help you feel more balanced, less anxious, and more in control of your reactions.
Eclectic
Eclectic therapy is a flexible approach that combines different types of therapy to fit your unique needs. Instead of just sticking to one method, we will use tools and techniques from several approaches to find out what works best for you.
