My goal is to help my clients understand how the “Fear Response” drives our body’s chemical reactions in situations, learn how our conscious and unconscious thoughts are related to fear, and assist individuals to comprehend the importance of how and why their thoughts and actions are connected. This new awareness creates a foundation for each individual to become more empowered to create change as he or she learns new skills to improve actions, reactions, and thoughts. More importantly, you will be assessing me. It is extremely important to ensure that you feel SAFE with your therapist. Your safety with your therapist is the foundation of your treatment success. Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I received my Masters from Dallas Baptist University and have been practicing for over 28 years. I work with individuals and couples. My specialties include anxiety, depression, grief, spiritual concerns and trauma. I emphasize well-being through the selection of healthy lifestyle choices, while encouraging wholeness through a balance of spirituality and psychology. I specialize in anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, grief and conflict management. CBT, DBT and/or Solution Focused strategies are my preferred modalities incorporated from a person centered perspective.

AS FOR ME, I am a Texas State University graduate and I have experience in multiple settings including schools, hospitals, inpatient facilities, LMHA, and group private practices. This has allowed me to work with diverse humans and engage many different therapeutic styles. I have a passion for creating space for my community of BIPOC, ADHD, parents, and LGBTQIA. I support adolescents and adults. OUTSIDE THE OFFICE, I spend a lot of time in nature as this is a healing place for me that I like to encourage others to consider as a therapeutic tool. My immediate family consists of my Wife, 2 kiddos, and lots of pets. We spend time together hiking/exploring nature, joining city-wide events, finding new parks to play and walk the dogs, and cooking new recipes.
