My name is Krystle Himmelberger, LPC, and I am passionate about creating a warm, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I work with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges. My goal is to help clients build resilience, gain confidence, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, we will focus on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, history, and goals so we can better understand your needs. We will also review confidentiality, complete any necessary intake information, and begin identifying what you would like to work on. The first session is a collaborative space where you can ask questions and start building comfort at your own pace

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a warm, collaborative, and client-centered approach that blends evidence-based methods such as CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. Clients often experience increased self-awareness, improved coping skills, greater emotional regulation, and more confidence in navigating life challenges. My focus is on creating practical, meaningful change that feels both supportive and sustainable

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I serve adolescents, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds who are experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem issues, and emotional or behavioral difficulties. I provide a supportive, collaborative, and client-centered approach tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. My focus is helping clients build coping skills, resilience, confidence, emotional awareness, and healthier patterns in daily life.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients develop self-compassion, self-acceptance, and self love through understanding and responding to difficult thoughts and emotions. In practice, I incorporate mindfulness, psychological flexibility, cognitive defusion, values clarification, and committed action to help clients move toward meaningful, value-based behaviors while reducing avoidance patterns and becoming your authentic self. I integrate ACT with other evidence-based approaches depending on the client’s need.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is shown to be effective with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. In my practice, I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, understand how thoughts impact emotions and behaviors, and develop healthier coping strategies through practical skills and behavioral interventions.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I provided SFBT for my graduate thesis and have a published article using this approach which was shown to be helpful treating anxiety and depression. I help clients identify strengths, build on existing resources, and focus on achievable goals. In practice, I use collaborative, goal-oriented conversations and techniques such as scaling questions and exception finding to support clients in creating practical solutions and positive change.
